Jase 43,479
More on what Mourinho said last night.http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/apr/26/jose-mourinho-chelsea-heroes-final"John [Terry] is missing but Chelsea are there [in the final] and that is the most important thing," he said. "I just hope it is a good final and of course I want the Blues to win, even though I have a lot of respect for the reds. I have a blue rib, still. Inter and Chelsea mean a lot to me.""I think Chelsea's boys were heroes [against Barcelona], absolute heroes. Some people think they are the masters of the game and they will criticise Chelsea in the same way that they criticised Inter two years ago, but they know nothing. Nothing."They know nothing about character and personality. They know nothing about the effort or what it is to resist physically, emotionally and technically, with 10 men. They know nothing about organisation. They know nothing. That's why my heroes at Chelsea are in my mind and why Chelsea deserve to be in the final. One of the great things about football is that it is unpredictable. Chelsea have fantastic fans and so do Bayern Munich so I hope they enjoy the final. And I hope Chelsea win."And from Jupp Heynckes."It was a surprise Chelsea were in the final but in the last few weeks Chelsea have made a very good impression. They are a team of wonderful professionals and if they reached the final it is because they deserved to. I thought Barcelona suffered from immense fatigue; they were exhausted. Chelsea did it that way because they knew that they could not play offensively against Barcelona and we have to congratulate them. It was a tactical masterpiece." BlueLion. 21,491
Bayern are not 'Average' my friend. They have weapons of mass destruction in their team (Robben, Ribery, Gomez) and have Schweinsteiger as well who has experience and can be the glue to their Midfield. They are a very good side. Although, like everyone has said, their Defence is their big weakness. I would rather play them than Jose and the well oiled, CR7 lead MadridYeah definitely a poor choice of words, but I honestly think if you take Robben and Ribery out of their team they would struggle.I would definitely prefer playing against Bayern rather than Real, though, so I'm happy with the result. It will be a tough game still.

A clean sheet run, an undefeated streak, world class performancesBayern do not need Robben nor Ribery to show world class performances
Predator 114
We have a good record against Madrid and we have a good record against Ronaldo. But seriously Real Madrid will hammer Bayern today so although we all want Bayern, it is Real Madrid who we will get. 100% sure about that.hehehehehehe

YouNameIt 1,511
Not necessarily. We could go like this:Essien-Mikel-MaloudaLampard-MataDrogbaIt's up to you to decide if Kalou is better than Essien and Malouda.Malouda? Are you fucking NUTS? Let Sturridge start and play 1-2 games before the final. IF he does well, he should start in the final because we need someone with speed and technique.CechBosingwa - Cahill - Luiz - ColeMikel - LampardSturridge - Mata - KalouDrogba
capriccioso 2,545
Malouda's not half bad as a midfielder these days. Utter rubbish on the wing though.

diskoviolente 425
Seeing that pass from Makelele Claude, how we miss you.so true. Maka was a quiet genious at work. Amazing how cool he shifts the ball over to Lamps. We never really replaced him. I had hopes that Oriol could become his successor in a way with the attacking minded passes. capriccioso 2,545
So, if we win, there are 30 medals to hand out. Whats that then, 18 for the matchday squad, probably 5 for those who were suspended plus one for Paulo for being awesome; and 7 for the backroom staff? Eva deserves one
KonohasOrangeFlash 2,607
More on what Mourinho said last night.http://www.guardian....ea-heroes-finalAnd from Jupp Heynckes.Good on you Mourinho, still behind us and he knows we deserved to beat those Cheats Barca. Anyway, Bayern almost threw away this game, it's not funny, the chances they missed and the fact they almost messed up a 2-0 lead in the Shootout shows how close they came to screwing this up. Although, overall, over the 2 legs surprisingly Bayern were the better team. I don't know how to feel. We wanted Bayern in the final but seeing the way they just bossed Madrid makes me re-think. This will be very tough. Of Course, I'm backing Chelsea. After the Napoli and Barca games I know we can't count out this Chelsea team, no matter the oddsSomeone posted that Norwhich were the last English team to beat Bayern at home. Well I think only 2-3 times in the history of the UCL has the home team gone onto win the Final. There'll be pressure on Bayern to deliver this Fairy Tail and hopefully the hoodoo will continue. It's a big positive that they will also miss some players. Alaba and Badstuber will be their biggest misses. Gustavo, although he will be missed, can be replaced by Kroos, and Kroos's position behind Gomez can be played by Muller. So their midfield isn't really weakened too much. Our midfield will be lacking the direction and speed of Ramires. So I don't see where the Creativity will come from unless we play Mata in the hole. Drogba to start and take advantage of their weakened defence. The 2nd CR7 goal shows that if we can move the ball quickly (Unlikely, I know) we can exploit the spaces their defence leaves. I think we really have to come out and play. We'll get more alot more possession that against Barca. Possession will be shared just about equally IMO. So we need to take our chances when they come.I really am worried about Ribery/Robben taking on the clown at RB. Kalou will probably play RW and he needs to help the Clown deal with Ribery. I hope Bosingwa plays the match of his life, because than I'll stop calling him a Clown Our Midfield should be able to out-posess and out muscle them, particularly if Mata doesn't play in the Midfield. Gomez missed alot of Golden chances. Our CB's SHOULD be able to take care of him, but they need to be careful of the diagonal runs he makes. He isn't too pacy but his positioning is good. The wingers of Bayern will undoubtedly be our biggest concern and perhaps is the key to the entire match. Also, Torres and Drogba playing together could be a radical option. I hope RDM doesn't approach this game in an overly defensive and cautious frame of mind. We can definitely play Football with Bayern. I have a good feeling about this. Predicting a win, the scoreline could be absolutely anything though. If we play to our Maximum and take our chances we could smash Bayern. One thing is for sure though, the Players wil be very hungry for this! So, if we win, there are 30 medals to hand out. Whats that then, 18 for the matchday squad, probably 5 for those who were suspended plus one for Paulo for being awesome; and 7 for the backroom staff? Eva deserves one Anyone who played a part in the UCL should get one. I'm sure there are 30 players deserving of it. I hope Paulo gets one, brilliant loyalty from him and a great guy.
