We've proved we can beat anyone on our day. No fear.

Have we under potter tho? We have not beaten any real top team under him so far apart from Milan/Dortmund.

only way to beat City, Real or Bayern is with a big slice of luck and the old TT playbooks

we have however performed better vs less conservatively defending sides that leave spaces in behind. Even if did not win we played better vs City, owned Dortmund and Milan.
the problem will remain our chance conversion. If we want to beat City or Bayern we need to be super clinical cos they sure as hell will be.

We need luck but we've gone back to the TT playbook and we have a better attack

We've always surprised in this competition be it Di Matteo or even the Fat Tramp, at the helm. Agree we will need some big breaks, like a Chilwell storm down the left or Havertz playing like he can - but its definitely doable. I am optimistic as there are less of the 'old guard' that have done it, and it seems a lot of the newer younger ones are hungry for it

We wouldn't be able to match Real Madrid over 2 legs, they have too much firepower for us (the way they ripped apart Liverpool for 5 goals could happen against us as well as they have finishers all over the pitch).  Same with Bayern & City.

Ideal draw would probably be Milan clubs (as they haven't had that many high scoring games in the UCL), followed by Benfica/Napoli.

Not saying that Madrid can't hurt us, but the way Liverpool were ripped apart was mostly down to some awful,  at times comical, defending on their part.

It even prompted Carragher to say that he could still do a job for the current Liverpool back 4.

Speaking of Liverpool- Madrid, it must be annoying for Madrid that away goals aren't worth a dime. Scoring 5 at Anfield should have deservedly put them out of sight.

But as it is, it's just a 3 goal deficit. They came close to choking against us last season.

Let's see if they've learned from that.

I really don’t think Liverpool are still capable of big turnarounds anymore. Their squad looks rinsed, Klopp has exhausted his repertoire, salah is missing more chances than ever, Mane is gone, vvd getting old. They are not the force they once were and need a rebuild.
would like them to do it anyway. They are easier to beat than the nuisance that is Madrid

I love how the pundits keep salivating over City and keep saying 'it's their year'

It will end in tears, and not tears of joy.

I say the same it's their year.

Especially if they get to the final. On average the first you get there you tend to lose it, the second time you tend to win it. It's what tend to happens on average.
