Turnbull was anyways going to play this game only,RDM wouldn't have played him against Blackburn irrespective of his performance.Blackburn should be a game where all the Champions League starters get to know each other and have a better understanding,so maybe the manager will experiment with a Drogba-Torres combination.

You win CL, you stay. You lose CL, you go.

AVB should then come back :Goober: and buy Hulk, Moutinho and Falcao. Both will be happy, our loved club will play beautiful football and we will get some trophies next season...wake up, this is not gonna happen becaues we will win CL ;)

Seriously, if rdm goes (i hope he stays), avb would at least bring top class porto players here.

Guardiola is just not good, Moutinho wont come, I dont want any englishman, Capello would be expensive and just old...AVB is on long term good choice, but he made bad run here because he is too young and just cant work with old guard.

I still can't believe AVB was sacked, yet to this day! Di Matteo has worked a few miracles since taking over but honestly do you think he will replace the likes of Kalou, Bosingwa, Drogba etc? AVB was the right man for the job because he wanted to CHANGE the team, the philosophy and the way the club was run. He wanted to build his own side, not a side Roman wanted but his own side, with his own players. The likes of Romeu, Courtois, Lukaku and Mata where his own signings... De Bruyne could of been but I'm unsure. He would of definitely brought the likes of Hulk and Moutinho in easily but the negotiations with Porto would have been long and they would of ripped us off just because it was Villas-Boas himself. AVB won't come back though, he is going to be Roma's coach next year and probably try and continue Luis Enrique's work there.

Although i don't want him here this summer to say he aint good is ridiculous.

I think Guardiola wouldn't be a good choice for rebuilding is maybe what he meant because half his Barca team were there under Rijkaard anyway. Or maybe I'm wrong haha.

I know that' why i don't want him here this summer, it's more the comment made by bluelyon that he wasn't good when imo he's has been just as important to Barca as Messi these last few years, if not more.

Yeah true and I think Johan Cryuff deserves some credit for Barca's achievements today tbh even though some people will disagree. Guardiola has perfected what he started basically and is reaping the rewards for it.

He is perfect for Barca, but we are not barca. We have no Messi, no Xavi or Iniesta. We dont play tiki-taka. Guardiola is fantastic coach for barca, but shit as coach elsewhere. Just look how weird substitutions he is making on games...because of that he lost to arsenal last year 3:2 just because he went defensive and put Keita in.

His tactics are discovered. In epl, you cant play that offensive and Guardiola cant play different than that. He knows shit about defending.

I hope you get the point, he is good >barca< coach, but bad coach for any other club outside spain.

ROBERTO DI MATTEO expects to be axed by Roman Abramovich — even if he wins the Champions League.

Chelsea’s FA Cup-winning caretaker boss fears the club’s billionaire owner is ready to dump him and appoint a big-name continental coach in the summer.

But that will not stop the Stamford Bridge favourite going all out for a remarkable Cup double against Bayern Munich in next Saturday’s Champions League final in Germany.

A senior Chelsea source revealed: “Robbie is determined to go for glory against Bayern, even though he’s resigned to leaving regardless of what happens in Munich. He has tried to talk to the club’s hierarchy about pre-season training for next season and been given very short shrift.

“That convinced him he really is just an ‘interim’ manager, filling the post until a full-time appointment can be made.

“He’s hugely disappointed after the miracles he has worked here since taking over from Andre Villas-Boas in March.

“Two Cup finals is an amazing success after inheriting that mess.

“And winning the FA Cup last Saturday was very special. He won it with Chelsea as a player, scoring that amazing goal against Middlesbrough in 1997, and now he has won it as a manager too.

“That guarantees him hero status with the fans but won’t budge the powers-that-be. Everyone knows Villas-Boas was appointed last summer to get rid of the older players. Di Matteo has the full support of all the players but, fundamentally, nothing has changed.”

The Londoners have been linked with departing Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola, France coach Laurent Blanc and ex- England manager Fabio Capello as Abramovich prepares to appoint his SEVENTH full-time boss in eight years.

A senior Chelsea source revealed? lel.gif

I just stopped reading at that line.

Just seen it not sure if it is true or not but knowing Roman he likely will go for a big name manager, he always does... Scolari and Ancelotti key examples.

This is Chelsea that we are talking about. Sorry to say that I was expecting this as I don't believe RA trusts RdM with a transfer budget and to move on some of the senior players.
