Chelsea Legend 11 4,062
If it's palace that is a great loan for him. Palace struggled to score goals last season, he will get chances to prove himself.
Unionjack 7,531
Seems like a sensible loan for him/us. HOPEFULLY getting regular games in the PL couldnt get much better for us.

supporter 3,088
Patrick Bamford on loan with Cristal Palace?1. England.2. London.3. Premier League.4. An important role in his new team.5. A team where he will not have to fight for not go down to first division throughout the season. And he will not have a loser mentality, Bamfordwill be quietly to complete His professional development in Premier League before returning with us.This would be a perfect loan for Bamford and for US. Hopefully he can go with England to Euro 2016.Regards.
Gilvorak 3,734
Good move after much thought. He'll get service from out wide with their wingers & through the middle with the Cabaye signing. A lot of competition but if he's good enough for us he should beat them all like Sturridge did at Bolton.Palace are going to be one of my favourite teams to watch for certain. OneMoSalah 8,886
Palace have got a couple of forwards to be fair, don't know if he will be as regular as some think unless they offload one or two. He might not even play upfront, he played on the right flank for Boro at times too didn't he, so maybe he will also fill in there.

supporter 3,088
2016 is wishful thinking... Hi friend!Yeah, but if Bamford makes a good season he could be one of 25 chosen to go with England to Euro 2016,and that would make him to improve in his own maturity. Bamford is one of the best young forwards in England, I would love that he could have a chance. In any case, Crystal Palace is a good place to be on loan. Premier League and London, near to Jose to monitor his progress.Regards.

Leif 6,006
As an allround player last season he didn't impress me a lot, but watching his goals themselves, he executes technique on par with any top striker we've had in recent times. He reminds me of Berbatov, which'd be a more valid comparison if Bamford hadn't been instructed to bust his balls tracking players on the wing a few times
Bosnian Blue 2,471
If he's good enough to play here he should be starting at Palace. It seems so, but these things are not that simple with loaned players. Sometimes managers are reluctant to start them because they are aware that the team can't be built around a player who will be gone next season. It is not rare to see managers loan a player because it will give them squad depth, quality and options.

He might not even play upfront, he played on the right flank for Boro at times too didn't he, so maybe he will also fill in there. This has always been the flaw of our loan system. And when he doesn't get regular playing time, they blame the player and not the club who didn't think the decision through properly and sent him to a club with plenty of competition. pardew has no incentive to play him ahead of Gayle (fan favourite), the experienced Ameobi and Chamahk, Campbell and Zaha. It's just stupid. The whole point of the loan is for players to get as much playing time as possible which will hopefully enable their development and therefore our aim should be to maximize the player's chances of getting those crucial games by sending them to clubs who are desperate for a player that plays in their position.
