pHaRaOn 2,131
But he's been in the Championship since the start of the season, starting at MK Dons no? I don't know about the rules, but for the past calender year, Afobe has played as a better striker than Bamford.MK Dons plays in League One. CurlyHairLikeLuiz 1,625
Yep I'm massively sure.He wouldn't take 2nd choice if Remy left? That's pretty ambitious for a 21 yo
iseah100 5,612
Yep I'm massively sure. We'll have too see. Don't think anything is set in stone. If he performs well, he could become our 2nd striker and at 21, that'd be a hell of an achievement.
Chelsea Legend 11 4,062
I think our HG status will play a big part in whether he stays or goes. RIght now I think he stays because we have to show to our youth the loan system works.
We Hate Scouse 10,326
Bamford isn't exactly going to come out and say he wants to leave.Even if he has told Chelsea he wants to leave he wouldn't do it publicly it'd effect his image and price. The guys one of the smartest footballers around he knows the odds are stacked against him at Chelsea and with Special Juans always reliable information I'm certain he's a goner in the Summer. Pizy 18,927
As romantic as it sounds to bring him in as a squad player next season, I can't see any way it happens.Would anyone be shocked at all if Drogba is back again? I wouldn't. I love him, but we need to go younger and more versatile up front. He just doesn't have it in him to play considerable minutes at his age.Think we'll certainly buy a new striker. If the same situation we're in now with Costa & Remy both injured I can't see any way José would trust a 21 year old kid with no experience against top opposition lead our line. Plus Bamford is making a claim that he could very well be ready for that position now anyway and to be honest, as third striker I think we can do way worse. themightyblue 443
We can't really afford to get rid of promising English players so I doubt he'll be sold. He'll come in and challenge. Don't forget he can also do a job on the right too

If the same situation we're in now with Costa & Remy both injured I can't see any way José would trust a 21 year old kid with no experience against top opposition lead our line. He has played against top oppositions this season. Arsenal for example. He did well against those as well so I can't understand what you mean.I read somewhere that Bamford and José said that to be "emotionally ready" for the PL (I know that's José logic but he is in charge so it does matter) you must be at least 21/22 years old. Bamford is reaching that age, lets just see if he is also talented enough.

MrExcalibur100 7,124
at some point Jose MUST start giving our younger players a chanceIf they never get solid minutes, not 1-2 minutes in a nothing match, we can never know how good they are. It's that simple.
LAM09 7,056
Good to see him get voted the best Champ player. I hope he gets a chance here. He has shown he has something and would be a good addition to our squad.
