Dont want to sound like i am hating on the guy but the 3 best teams he has faced in the PL, Tottenham, Man United twice and Liverpool he has been poor! worrying signs for City fans

Haha, I just read your praise in the Costa thread and then I came here. Too funny. :D

Thought he was good yesterday but that will be masked by 4-1 defeat. He was the best City player by far, he will also get better and better.

being the best of a bad bunch doesnt mean he was actually good! Man City fans have been critical of him recently

TBH, I am actually shocked about what Lampard said. I thought KDB was awful yesterday. Lampard must of been watching another game. None of City's players turned up.

I give constructive feedback. But let's not pretend he has been a standout player for them on a whole.

Costa won us 3 points yesterday, De Bruyne done nothing against Liverpool! great comparison!

What did Costa do? I would say we won despite having a very poor striker. If he would have missed that chance it would have been shameful.

He's been their player of the month for the past two months. Since he arrived actually. I think they're quite alright with him.

Doesn't really matter in the end.

If we would have drawed or lost then it would have mattered, but he won us the game with a nice taken goal and that matters.

No thats matters. When striker needs 4-5 very, very good oportunities to score a goal, that is really bad. Remy or Falcow would score a hatrick in this game. Against Spurs we wil not get so many oportunities and if Costa gonna miss open goals or fall instead of shooting we gonna lose to those Wankers.

a lot think he has gone off the boil, and expect more from him due to his price tag.

here are some quotes from Bluemoon.

Going through a poor spell
Remember when some fans on here were saying he's better than David Silva?! Bwaaahahaha! Football fans, bloody hell.
I'm a big fan but today was not his finest hour. Hid a little when the going got tough (he wasn't alone in this but I hoped he'd try to drive us on) & has a tendency to "turtle neck" when going up for headers. Wasn't the worst today by a long shot but has definitely gone off the boil from his initial few weeks
I'm a big fan of the guy, but I thought most of his passing was pretty poor, though he did run about a lot.
poor today, Coutinho was the standard at which De Bruyne needed to be

It's not bollocks, if you think De Bruyne was up to the standard he set earlier in the season, or up to the standard set for him, then you have low expectations of the man who was the figurehead of our attack last night and was completely outshone by his opposite number.
We played better when he wasn't in the team against Sevilla .
He`s a good player .
But his forms gone down hill since the derby a month ago .
Been shit for weeks but so many are afraid to say it probably because of his Brilliant first few games.
For a guy who has such a good pass on him he doesn't half give the ball away a lot.
It's a shame our 2 more skilful possession attacking midifelders (Silva and Nasri) are out at the same time because we badly miss a player in their mould. Sterling, KDB and Navas are not good in possession at all.

Thats quite a few fans who have been criticizing him! there is no denying his form has dipped, surely even you can admit that

He was pretty shit against Liverpool but still put in several crosses that should've been met with at least an attempt on target. He's a bit the opposite of Eden in that sense, he can be underwhelming during patches but he'll consistently deliver assists or goals, while Eden can boss a game but lack that final ball.
