Kevin de Bruyne

^^ Thats what I thought when Josh went to Swansea. But I was really disappointed.

I don't know the qualities of McEachran, but I know he hadn't proved anything in first league football when he went to Swansea. De Bruyne is a different story: he has been the best player in the third-fourth best team in Belgium, for three years in a row! It's almost impossible he wont succeed in a team like Southampton. Southampton is not that much better than Genk, but the good thing will be that he can play against Man U and Arsenal, instead of Westerlo and OH Leuven. It will be very good for his development.

The problem with Swansea, as mentioned above, was that Sigurdsson was so good, he and Josh couldn't play together as they were so similar in style. I know nothing of Southampton's team (especially out wide, where I assume KdB would play, as Championship teams don't generally play with a no.10). Hopefully they need a left-sided winger...

Then again: De Bruyne played in Genk in a 4-4-2 system. The first two years as a left winger, which he did great. The last year as a CENTER (so not attacking) midfielder (however with a player next to him that was a bit more defensive than him), which he did phe-no-me-nal. Maybe his best position is the 10, but he's also capable to play reaaally good at the 8.

Didn't know he could play CM in the 4-4-2! I'm not sure if Chelsea would ever use him in that position though (I doubt it), which was why i'd have imagined that he'd be playing as a winger for Southampton (or whoever he joins on loan).

Now Brendon is the manager at the Dipperdome do you think he'll be asking to loan a few of our squad players. I think it's good of Chelsea to help out the litte clubs.

If Brendon does well at te Dipperdome he will be well on course to manage a Big club next

I'd rather eat broken glass and drink hydrchloric acid than see our players loaned to Liverpool.

Shame had hopes he'd stay but anyways he looks like ultimate replacement for Malouda. And with marko Marin I think those two are great sources of competition for hulk and Mata and hulk? Theyveill all play games but atleast no one is a untouchable witch was case for Malouda and Anelka. We all knew they would start game in game out.

Kdb hopefully shows how much of boss he is on loan in epl and shows confidence in his abilities. What if him an lukaku were loaned to same team?? Damn.................

i would much rather keep him here than loan him to a premship team. unless we retain benayoun, we dont have a back-up for mata at CAM and given how mata's stamina is questioned and our hectic schedule for next season, he would get game-time here

I always thought he was played as more of a no.8 in Genk's second half of the season.

I think Kevin's future is at CM. He has the vision, passing skills, and defensive abilities to be great there. I haven't watched him for full 90 mins excpet against us, so I can't judge his positional and tactical awareness yet.

suspect defensively. would need a defensive mid or box to box next to him. ramires and de bruyne somewhere down the line?

Yes I was thinking that he'd be perfect for the role that Lamps played this season in the 4-2-3-1. Though I was thinking more of De Bruyne and Mikel/Romeu.

frank will be the first choice for this season atleast. whether we like it or not. so i would prefer ramires over mikel alongside him because that way we get a different dimension to our attack and an extra option for mata to pick out while at the same time, he has the stamina and pace to recover.

de bruyne should be incorporated into the first team this season and from 2013 or 14 he can become the first choice if he can prove his worth

I'm pretty sure De Bruyne is going on loan to a PL side. I even remember reading that he said so.

Ramires I really don't think he can play CM in the 4-2-3-1 especially along side Lamps. Frank, despite his excellent performances there, is not a DM, he cannot cover for Ramires' runs forward especially that he will be looking to make forward runs himself.

The Lamps-Mikel partnership turned our season around and, imo, was the key element in winning the two cups. I'd keep it for another year.

His manager's reaction on the loan to Southampton:

"Southampton? Nonsense! There has been no contact with any other club than Chelsea. I just got a phone call from Chelsea and they expect Kevin to be present at the club on July the 4th. I hear a lot of rumours about possible transerfs. French press recently announced the interest of Lyon. But I can assure you that all this is nonsense. Certainly also the story about Southampton. When Chelsea decides to loan him out, only then we will sit together around the table to look for a decent team for Kevin. But I can tell you that at the moment, a loan is not at order!"

ex-fukin-actly. i dotn want ramires in double pivot, or if he does then maybe with a more defensive player like mikel. or romeu or sombbody.

i used to think 433 and 4231 were such a big difference but the more i see it and ramires is still in same spot and same space for mata would just play am in 433.

4231: lw-cam-rw

rambo-dm

in 433: lw -st- rw

cam

rambo---dm

Saw him play a lot of matches with Genk being a Belgian myself, living quite near to Genk that said.

In Belgium though most of us don't hold very high opinions about the players active in the national league here - guys like Vermaelen, Hazard and Dembele for example spent most of their youth training elsewhere. Of course there are examples which beg to differ (Fellaini, Witsel, Defour - these three guys played together at one stage for Standard, imagine!), but somehow still sceptical... Of course I'd love to see KDB fulfill his potential, let's hope so!
