Iced 34
Am I the only one that was disappointed when Sturridge came off for romeu... how many times do we take the lead and immediately get too comfortable and stop pressing. termninja 5,290
Another point I didn't make in my post. A managers influence on referee's is often talked about, we all know Ferguson has a big influence on refs, AVB does not, Id be willing to bet any of my limbs that had Mourinho been in charge of the team today, 2 penalties would not have been awarded against us.Ferguson is the oldest manager in the PL leading United for over 20 years. He is looked at by most of the people as one of the best managers ever. He has won 19 league titles and he is the man who made United the club with most league titles in English football.AVB is a 34 year old lad who is not in England for a full year yet. This is his 3rd season as a manager and he is not in England for a full year yet. Good luck influencing refs in PL with that against Sir Red Nose... Billy. 2,742
I dont know why its AvB fault, not at all its that cunt Webbs fault and Flo they are both usless cunts two pens and looking at replay they wents evra went down like a lesbian, and welbeck put his foot on Iva the 3rd goal was our fault noone picking up that pea prat.on a higher note, WHAT A GOAL FROM MATA O MY GOD THAT WAS SICK. Laylabelle 9,535
It happens. The main fault lies in the bench. Cause when we where up 3 to 0, there was no one in the bench to change for Malouda, Meireles and such.I don't think youth will get much of a chance with any manager. We all thought AVB was a youngster manager, much better then Carlo and look at him now.So no matter who you bring, youths will not get much chances in this club. Thus in the summer he needs to buy to replace the likes of Malouda, Bosingwa, Ferreira, and add some creativity in the midfield for a change with Meireles. And we need a whole lotta luck on our side..and agree massive changes. We're not gana win the league...might as well give the Youth a chance to show what they can do.Otherwise never happen. Can understand why he hasnt does seem to be lack of confidence in them.If it goes wrong...he gets the blame despite doing what people want mean reacions when Lampard was benched.Needed to happen, did help but still had bad reactions from someAnd yeah they should've had two pens..but they didnt.Doesnt mean he had to try and make up for it!And if we hear 'oh Im sorry I made a mistake' makes it even worse to late then Edited February 5, 2012 by Laylabelle

BlueLion. 21,491
Not too disheartened. I'd have taken a draw earlier considering we were essentially playing our reserves. Look at the players we missed....Terry - our captain and leader. Granted Luiz and Cahill were both very good today, but this would have been Terry's game. We've seen him reply to the media and public criticism before, and we are just more organised at the back with him in the team.Drogba - a real fighter, even though he's never had the best of careers up against United it would have been important for him to have played up top. He's more physical and would have caused United more problems aerially as well. That being said, Torres held the ball up exceptionally well, especially in the second half, but Drogba is such a passionate player, his sense of urgency and ability just to produce a glimer of quality could have unlocked United for that crucial fourth goal.Lampard - moreorless as above. He is one of the old guard and fights until the end. We missed a composed figure in midfield today. Let's not overstate his qualities though - he is past his best however his late runs into the box and the general simplicity of the play would have been vital. Look how often we gave the ball away today - the same doesn't happen when Frank plays. He brings a sense of authority and calm to the team, and his experience in big-game situations was missed.Cole - I though Bosingwa had a good game, though I was disappointed in his inability to pass with the left foot. With Cole you have that extra inch of attacking quality and so many moves broke down today because Bos checked inside to play on his stronger foot. That being said he shackled Valencia well for most of the game.Ramires - just that drive, that enthusiasm that Ramires possesses could have been the difference between two well-matched sides. We've seen how he has adapted his game into a more all-round role, and in the absence of Lampard he'd most likely have played in an advanced role. He may not be the best passer of the ball but he is positionally intelligent and very sharp in the tackle, which is something we missed. Essien, Oriol and Raul were quite laboured later on, but if you'd have had Rambo's pace and energy it could have been a different story. At the end of the day you can dissect the game in as many ways as you want - I am personally satisfied with the result, the performance (which was a massive improvement on what we've seen recently), and that catastrophic capitulation aside, you have to consider the fact we were playing without confidence against an in-form side without many of our best players, and against a referee that might as well have just worn a red jersey today for the ease of the watching audience. Webb had a very poor game but I think it would be wrong to criticise him (or AVB for that matter, I think he got his tactics spot-on, and could never have predicted a turn-around such as that) when simple mistakes cost us. Again we failed to close down Ryan Giggs, giving him the time to put a ball in right on Cuntarito's pea-sized head. That was inexcusable. Throw in the fact we were sloppy in possession and seemed to stop playing as soon as the supposedly 'majestic' Wayne Rooney scored from the penalty spot for the first time. Then you have an under-fire, under-performing goalkeeper produce two fantastic saves from Mata and Cahill, and all the tension surrounding the fixture in regards to Terry losing the England captaincy and it's not really that much of a surprise we conceded three. I think a fair few of us were expecting the worse as soon as United scored. You could see the belief soar through them, and you have to accept that they should tremendous bottle to come back from the dead. You can also sit back and admire it for being a phenomenal game of football. After all the predictions of us getting absolutely trounced, I think we can be relatively happy that we can take a credible result from the game, albeit one two points worse-off in terms of its rewards than it should have been. But, as Roberto Mancini so often says, 'this is football'. Don't you just fucking hate it?And that's that. I'm going for a fag and then to bed because I'm exhausted and feel like shit. Night. Clevemayer 764
this was fuckin woefulll... we dominated them completely... if you nloose like this it is only because of the team.boas had the right tactics the right ideas you could smell our win clearly... you saw how we outplayed them... then after ghe first penalty i saw everything cracking up... its clearly not boas failure... even fuck'n bossy looked solid... its a mindset thing... there was no leader on the pitch... no terry no lamps no drogs who would look into you're face and scream at you to geht the fucking things in you're head sorted... Fernando 6,585
My heart just sank when Hernandez scored and De Gea saved Mata's free kick,It's not fair, not fuckin fair. United dishes out their worst starting 11 for the season, and they would probably still win the league while ours gets relegatedIt's not much to the squad then to the manager.A manager that's been with the team for a long time, knows how to control the pressure, the transition times and get the best out of his squad.Did this not happen for SAF for a couple of years. This will never happen at Chelsea cause we keep firing manager. Our board is not good to support a manager for long term.

The Rising Sun 711
We Lost(....). Not because of Webb or anyone else. yES he gave penalties, but if you cant keep a 3 goal lead, then we never deserved to win. There are no positives from a game that you surrender a 3-0 lead.Sad Sad day. i Expected to lose, but after we were 3 up, i thought if we dont win it now, we dont deserve top 4. We drew. How can any chelsea fan be happy about what they saw today,

Continuing to Start Bosingwa while he does nothing but lose fuckin possession!!! AND KEEPING MALOUDA ON THE PITCH FOR 90 MINUTES!!!!!!!!!
