With Essien being out for a while i could see Luiz being a hold midfielder for us this season and that would open up a space at CB. Cahill would be a great addition imo

trust me all i see is Luiz playing alongside Terry as CB, Ivan and Bos to play for right back. No way AVB is gonna sell or bench Luiz. He is the type of player that really fits AVB's philosophy IMO

Essien is not a holding midfielder. The only position his absence makes available is the same position Ramires already occupies.
