To be fair, he actually had a decent game after 2-3 mistakes early in the first half. Thought he had a good second half.

Ivanovic masks his diabolical moments with heroic goals and good attributes. Cahill is just all roun bad.Both should be dropped for zouma and azpi respectively ,but getting Cahill out will probably come first .I wonder if we will see the right defence this season

Feel sorry for the geezer. Has to play central right back and then when he has to back off because he can't cover so much ground he gets completely slaughtered for it. Yeah, he's not the best centre half Terry has partnered (surely Ricky) but he's not shite either. If Dave played next to him I guarantee he would look so much more solid.

Zouma does well there because of his pace and impeccable timing/technique of the tackle, and that'll be the cross on which Cahill will be crucified. And rightly - if Zouma is better in the role he should be played there.

I don't get why a player should be sold just because they shouldn't be in the starting XI. In Cahill's case, he can still be a decent squad player and not to mention, he fills the HG quota that we're desperately lacking.
