Jase 43,479
Chelsea star Gary Cahill can be England's rock in RioAccording to Owen Coyle in the article, Man City offered £17m and a player to Bolton for Cahill the summer before he joined us but nothing came of it. A bit strange that..

Henrique 9,133
Can we start calling him world class now!!!I dont think Cahill will be a world class player one day, but he became a really solid CB. didierforever
Eligius 121
Cahill was quite lucky today not to concede penalties and more freekicks. Henrique
robsblubot 3,595
Cahill was quite lucky today not to concede penalties and more freekicks.Yup and he will have to tone down his tackles a bit for the cl and then the wc because pl refs are far more conservative concerning cards and penalty calls as it should be (my fav thing about the pl). Well aside from the horrible Chris Foy that is.
Jase 43,479
Just putting it out here, is anyone gonna question Cahill's positioning for that 2-3 late Palace chances when they got into the space vacated by Ivanovic but wasn't covered well enough by Cahill? Seems like his problems are still there.. Vybz Kartel and Henrique

Seems like his problems are still there..Decision making was terrible throughout the match. Maybe he lost confidence after that pen call because he knew it was a pen. Well, that's you then.Said before, if a player played well, then he deserves to be praised. If a player performed badly, then he deserves to be criticized. Doesn't mean if a player has done well in a season, he should be excluded from criticisms. And besides in this case, nobody is blowing the situation out of proportion but merely a legitimate point or two was brought up. dee25

The Chels 2,502
Seems like Cahill took the defeat pretty hard at the end..Didn't he take a knock towards the end of the game after which he was hobbling as he tried to get up? That could be why he was on the floor rather than because he was upset - not sure though.
Esam 60
nearly conceded a penalty?! at least he tackled with style! but maybe he should've just cut the ball instead!
