ZanSnake 1,211
I still hope he can make it, but i don't know if he can this season - maybe a majority this season, and the odd penalty next season to ensure it would happen, then again you can never write off Super Frankie Lampard
Jase 43,479
I still hope he can make it, but i don't know if he can this season - maybe a majority this season, and the odd penalty next season to ensure it would happen, then again you can never write off Super Frankie Lampard We have had like 4-5 legitimate penalties turned down since that Newcastle game. Lampard would have scored more goals this season had we gotten those! ZanSnake
Milan 17,957
Cheers for the stats. I am glad he scored from an open play today, he just showed he can still do it and it is not all about penalties only. And once again, I bloody love his sliding tackles, they are so accurate and perfect. CHOULO19 24,332
His goal was perfect. There was about 30 good passes that led to the ball being lobbed by Oscar to Torres whose shot was blocked to Lampard. And that finish...
DYC. 7,542
This is what I was waiting for, a goal from open play. And it was a classic Frank Lampard goal.Fine overall performance as well.

zolayes 14,489
watching him in the last two games he has played showed there is still mileage in him ... with a proper ref he would have had a hat trick today TorontoChelsea and RamiCFC9
CHOULO19 24,332
It looks like he picked up an injury which is why he was subbed off: http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/news/lampard-injury-worry-173325509.html
manpe 10,861
Injury or not, it was right to sub him off nevertheless. No need to work his legs any more in a practice match. Bosnian Blue
TorontoChelsea 4,064
Was excellent today and noticed even in Denmark that he seems to be timing his runs well and it paid off in a goal today. Was responsible for a lot of the good build-up play and switched play up very well. He'll still be contributing a lot to Chelsea this season. Rubber bullets 1,183
Was a good game for him to be more expressive and attacking and he scored a well taken goal, firsts good performance in a couple of months for him.Still would not trust him in the bigger games where we need more focus on defending against the opposition. Jase 43,479
Is it the same injury he was taken out of the Norwich game for?Seems like it. RDM said he took off Lampard then because there was a slight problem with his knee.http://www.chelseafc.com/news-article/article/2941331/title/final-whistle-verdict-in-fine-formOn Lampard, who was withdrawn with a niggle in the second half'Lampard felt a little problem behind his knee so as a precaution we took him off. We'll assess him tomorrow and see [if he will report for England duty].'
