Liverpool have enquired about Ismaila Sarr and discussed his situation with Watford, who want £36m for the 22-year-old Senegal international striker. (Mail)

Could see him becoming the next Sane at pool. Wouldn’t mind Sarr here at all.

Thiago is an annoyingly fantastic signing for Liverpool and one who makes them easily the heavy title favorite. If they weren't already. Can see them performing similarly to last season where they only lose a few times the whole year assuming they stay fit. He adds a new dimension to their team and allows them to play in a different way.

I'm just glad he went to a team that's already dominant rather than United who he would've taken up several levels.

Guess Liverpool want to win and win now but that's another old player in their books. Thiago is already 29 and doesn't have the cleanest of injury record. They are gonna have a big rebuilding job to do soon enough.

Where we got used to willing and sacked managers that stopped delivering the Dippers dont mind bringing in experience players wise.

Ive always been of a mind that at 30 players slow down. But I know in my personal situation Im fitter now than Ive ever been.

Ive become more open minded in SOME positions age is just a number and experience wins over/ A good mixture of old, potential and top class is necessary.
IMVHO of course.

But yes they do look like theyre going to need a major overhaul shortly. Maybe they sell a load and use the money?

I am not sure what do you mean how thiago impact firmino game, very little imo.

In term of Werner it is obvious without covid, he is a pool player but pool don't want to pay his release clause.

The point is that Firmino drops deep and acts as both the link and the creative spark in the central areas of the pitch.

If Liverpool now have a playmaker playing deeper in midfield, do they still need certain aspects of what Firmino offers the team.

It'll be interesting to see because Thiago is a different style of player to what they currently have in their midfield so it may impact on some players with their roles and balance within the team.

Thiago is dpl, he doesn't play between the line. It won't affect firmino game much. Firmino just won't drop very deep.

Thiago will replace either wijnaldum or Henderson. He will help them build from the middle.

I know that Thiago plays deeper but that creative presence will still help act as the link between midfield and attack. At present Firmino acts as that link because the midfield lacks creativity. If Firmino no longer has to drop as deep as he has previously to help Liverpool's build up play, there may be question marks around him eventually because he doesn't get huge numbers for goals.

For me, Liverpool would benefit from having a striker option more comfortable with playing higher up. Origi is about a similar level to Batshuayi. I think over time it will prove a mistake that they didn't push to get Werner.
