Not being funny but this is a football forum, if i wanted a spelling test ill find the appropiate website, sometimes i miss spell something or type words to fast (example Dorgba) but who cares? aslong as we on a whole understand what the word is does it matter?

on other stories i wouldnt say it were a good idea to open a thread about grammar cause come to think of it if you notice the ages of the guys on this site they would have had been taught grammar and all that stuff in skool. though mine is like arsene wenger deciding what to do with lottery money he won [shit really] i find grammar a bit overrated at times or overstrained by others

as mentioned. "you know that choclate cake looks tasty" says to you "zashko thinks that choclate cake looks tasty" [or something else] then i say that works alright. tis not usually "zashkos grammar is shit wheres the 's and the .'s] but fire at will guys its a free forum for all

I think as long as we can all understand each other there is no problem weather people are english or not. the level of english, on here is pretty high considering there are a lot of overseas users and I think it's a bit stupid to expect them to use perfect grammer the whole time: and I think there all doing really well whichever way you look at it,

I use them a lot ....just laziness instead of formal punctuation...o.k.

It's called an ellipsis and in that context it just means a pause of silence, usually it is for the omission of some words from a piece of text, like if you're quoting but don't need the middle bit. Also used in maths but no-one I'm sure wants to be bored by maths.

Dear Beast,

Thank you for taking time out of your busy life to instruct those of who know how to write in English with a fair amount of accomplishment. Did it occur to you as you wrote your discourse that proper British English and American English have some (not a lot) very different grammatical rules, a good portion of our forum is made up of people who contribute meaningful content whose native language is not English, some of us are multilingual and occasionally forget which language what rules apply to, and last but not least that in the heat of the moment or when we are typing very fast that we may misspell things or leave out proper punctuation or forget which form of there, their, or they're is needed and really don't care as long as the rest of the forum understands us. And sometimes it is just faster to shorten things!!! (yes, I used AND to start my sentence on purpose!)

By the way, why do you purposely start topics that are judgmental or rude and then try to say you didn't mean to offend? You are either very naive or just plain socially inept.

What the fuck? I make a grammar thread just to make the community better and I suddenly get all these shit, negative remarks about why I shouldn't be making threads like this along with personal insults. There is so many fucked up people on these forums and I think it's better if i leave. I'm clearly not liked on here and I'm 100% sure it's because of my religion. If someone doesn't fit into your certain category then you automatically dislike them. Think outside the fucken box! It's a shame though because this website is the first thing go onto when I come back from school but most members dislike me for one reason or another. So fuck it, i'm off and don't expect me to come back and accept more abuse because I made a thread to try and help the people on here. Time to search for other Chelsea forums and hopefully their members don't have personalities like some people on here.
