It will be very interesting to see Lukaku go to United after what Mourinho did to him at Chelsea. I mean it was his fault that he isn't with us in the first place.

Everton will get Rooney on a free transfer regardless of where Lukaku ends up. Problem with Rooney is his wages, the man is on £300K a week and Everton need to offer something close to that to get him but not having to pay a transfer fee certainly helps with that.

United will be more than happy to just get him off their wage bill, they're deluded if they think they're also going to get a transfer fee from anywhere other than China and by the looks of things Rooney himself doesn't want to go there. Situation with him is almost identical to what we had a few years ago with Torres.

I think jose wanted him to stay but couldn't offer him regular football so he wanted to leave might be wrong tho.

Or it's some Grade A trolling from José. He knows Lukaku ain't worth £100m so he leaks to the press that United really want him, it panics Chelsea into offering £100m first, and he laughs as he sees us spunk that ridiculous fee over.

Seriously, though, I'm not worried one bit. If anything, if these reports are true it should kick our board into gear and force them to act. If they really want Lukaku they need to be swift. If not, start the process of getting Belotti or Auba.

Lukaku played a part in three of first four games of the season in 13/14 including the UEFA Super Cup against Bayern, and although all those were as a substitute. Missed a penalty in the USC and boom, next day he's gone. Zero talk of a move prior to that point and then on deadline day he goes on loan to Everton so my guess would be he had a falling out with Mourinho following that crucial penalty miss that caused Jose yet another loss against his nemesis Guardiola.

Could be water under the bridge now and Lukaku is a much better player now than he was back then so Mourinho wouldn't be afraid to play him nowadays but somehow I still doubt he'd want to join Mourinho at United as his first choice if the alternative is to return to the club he supposedly 'loves' and supported as a kid. Chelsea just need to come up with an acceptable offer and he's ours, no doubt about that.

I would do the same if I was Mourinho, that penalty was kindergarden tier, one of the worst shots I've ever seen.

Just yesterday we had that report saying that Conte wants Lukaku "at any cost, whatever it takes." 

Though I'm sure Mourinho would have him there, the timing of these new rumors is pretty suspect. Like maybe Raiola wants things to be resolved ASAP.

why are people talking about Belotti as though it will be easy to get him when the obvious one available (Morata & Lukaku) our getting difficult day in day out to land. 

Like dele alli and harry kane so belotti is and that is Unbuyable at the moment. I keep wondering why no one is makking a move and i realise he won't leave this summer. If he would i am surewe would have seen him holding an AC Milan shirt by now. No club seems willing to be the first to land a 100m player and thats how torino prices him
