Romelu Lukaku

We definitely don't need a lad like Lukaku here, he would never start ahead of such juggernauts like Eto'o; Ba and Torres

Just watch how well Eto'o keeps the ball - Lukaku could never hold up the ball like that. How well Torres links up play and passes. How strong Demba Ba is.

Besides we never create any chances or provide service Lukaku could thrive on, we never score from counter attacks; never score from set pieces; never really need a speedy striker with Lukaku's physical presence.

We also don't want to scare opposition defenses - what we prefer is our strikers to lure them into a false sense of security

Poor Lukaku having such fantastic strikers ahead of him in the team - should be loaned again next season so he doesn't waste his time on the bench watching our brilliant strikers.

All very valid points, but I don't blame our forwards for not winning it today though. We should not be conceding 3 goals against Stoke.

You're acting as if we created plenty for our strikers and they lost the game for us, but that wasn't the case. Our defence let us down today.

Please if Lukaku was up top instead of Torres in the first half those two passes by Hazard for which Torres decided not to run for - would have been at the very least shots !

There were plenty of chances which our midfielders were forced to take because our strikers weren't in the box especially in the first half.

I agree with you, Torres was rubbish - however my point is, we shouldn't be put in a fragile situation against the likes of Stoke and Sunderland (6 goals conceded in 2 games against average teams is mediocre) - the defence let us down today and unfortunately our offensive players couldn't bail us out like against Sunderland.

The problems aren't up front atm IMO, defensively we need to improve a lot. We'll struggle to win anything if we keep conceding 3 goals against average teams.

Just one request to all of you guys here.

IF he scores tomorrow or does well then please don't post saying that loaning him out was a mistake or that we sent the wrong striker out blah blah. He was sent out for a reason and that was to play games regularly (which he is doing now and quite well) as we were stacked up with 3 strikers.

So anyways if he scores tomorrow then just praise him and be happy with his development.

Our "strikers" haven't scored a goal away from home in the EPL the entire year(READ IT AGAIN 11 MONTHS). Lukaku should be here playing regularly - it's the most deluded decision Jose has made since returning - thinking Torres; Ba and Eto'o are better when it's bloody obvious they would be lucky to make the bench in Everton at the moment ahead of Kone and Jelavic with their current form.

If he scores tomorrow he would have won more points for CFC in the EPL while not playing for Chelsea than Torres has won for us in 3 years

concerning the striker situation, this is my whole evaluation of what Jose really wanted-

Sign Rooney and have him,Lukaku and Torres as our strikers. The English international would have been used as a striker and as a number 10.Its also important to note that if we had signed Rooney,Jose would not have signed Willian,as Oscar and Rooney would be in contention for the number 10 role while it would have been Mata and KDB for the right wing role.

Also,Jose was willing to send Ba out on loan to Arsenal but the Ozil signing made him think twice.

So anyways what I am trying to say here is that certain failures in the transfer market resulted to such a situation.I am pretty sure Jose always had Luakaku in his plans for this season but the signing of Eto'o (the next best alternative to Rooney) and Ba's failed loan move to Arsenal made it quite clear that Lukaku would not get as many opportunities as Jose had planned for and therefore chose to send him out on loan.

Keep defending Jose, the fact he felt Torres was ahead of Lukaku in the pecking order means he hadn't watched Torres play in the last 2 years

It's inexcusable to start Ba or Torres ahead of Lukaku as Jose did at the start of the season instead of allowing Lukaku a run in the team before signing Eto'o.

Yes we are stacked up with 3 strikers but that is irrelevant when it is clear that Torres and Ba have their flaws and their was an uncertainty about Eto'o. In Lukaku we had the best striker on form and right now he is proving that he is better than all three. Regardless that he had many striker to compete with, he showed that he should of had the chance to be no.1 striker and he was not given that chance.

Lukaku would have had his chances and they would have come more often than most think if he stayed, based on the utter dog crap on offer, but Mou hinted already the kid chose to bounce on the club for the season rather than prove himself. He values a spot in the World Cup squad over Chelsea at the moment so move on, it is what it is.

he can do us a massive favor today. MASSIVE.

if arsenal win they will be 7 points clear off us before playing city and us in consecutive matches. worst case scenrio for them would be , still top of the table with 1 point. and that will be a big pyschological advantage. hope he can continue DD's legacy.
