The fact Clarke played him ahead of Shane Long on Wednesday gives the impression he has a lot of faith in Lulu.
Kojo 4,676
Let him stay at West Brom, get a new striker in January.Lukaku might score more goals but certainly wont be great here, does anyone remember how brutal Lukaku was in pre season?, he's still got a poor first touch and he's not exactly a great footballer when it comes to link up play. Still needs to improve for keeping the ball with his back to goal.

His first touch needs to be great with his back to goal, or when hes not running into space where he can recover it if its a bit iffy. I think if you've got a lot of pace and your first touch isn't the greatest but isn't the worst, when your clean through on goal you've always got a chance in recovering the ball. Sounds stupid but yeahHes got a few assists for WBA doesn't he? Fortunes goal vs Sunderland and Billy Jones goal vs whoever (the guy scored a deflected shot) might have been vs Southampton/Reading can't remember exactly.... ZanSnake 1,211
I think he is homing his talents at West Brom and is doing well, and most importantly wants to do well and improve so he can be at the level he needs to be at to play for the football team he has loved since he was a boy. The fact he is getting the minutes is a good start, and him scoring goals is another great prospect - he is level-headed, and i am sure he knows he needs to improve certain aspects of his playing style and will do - but the only way for him to continue developing is by staying at West Brom for the rest of the season, not sitting on the bench here: which we know would happen if he was recalled. Though i do think he could grab goals because he's a natural goal scorer, it's what he is.
mediator 2,026
It's too early for lukaku. His first touch is improving, but not yet chelsea material. I remember the pre-season, dispite his 2 goals, he was awful. Nobody could link up with him, he lost about 10 - 15 possessions (turnovers) per game. But he is getting better and better since July. May be within the next 2 years.

Mufassir08 2,400
I think lukaku should stay at wba for atleast 2 more years. This will be an unpopular opinion but i think we need someone more polished and composed right now then lukaku. He is enjoying himself at wba so there is no reason to stall his progress right now. replika83 14
Only when he stops asking for the ball while he's surrounded by 3 defenders, he can play for Chelsea :-) But only then! Eggman
dumps 284
I would happily like to see a new striker come in at January and Lukaku to stay at west brom.I have been watching Lukaku at west brom and his improvement is rapid. he still has a lot to do and i think after his loan spell at west brom has finished he should go out on loan for another half season or maybe full season to either west brom or a different club where he will be guarenteed to start every game in the premier league. He's still young and looking very promising. My only worry si that we manage to keep him. Say we buy someone crazy in January like Falcao and we buy another average young striker as well for cover, i can see Lukaku wanting to run off to another club. if we lose him i will be gutted.Would love to see a compilation video of Romelu at WB. all his highlights and some of his bad parts because from what ive seen, the good movements are way more frequent than the bad! Eggman 118
I agree that Lukaku should stay at West Brom, where he is obviously not the undisputed nr. 1. He is develloping his game, even without playing every match, but still needs to make a lot of progress. Even though he is a decent striker even now, at his young age, he is not quite good enough to carry the attack as the only striker in a world class team that aims to win the PL and CL. With ambitions this high, you need a striker (or preferably, two) who is at his prime; like Van Persie and Rooney, or Aguero and Tevez, for instance... Even though I am not a fan of these players, they are arguably at a different stage in their career and Lukaku has a long time ahead of him before he is their age (and of their ability). Also, I think that this whole "return the kraken" hype is not really helping Romelu; why would WBA invest in a player that is leaving in a month's time, and put their other, capable strikers unhappily on the bench?Edit: I just read that Rafa says "no to Lukaku return"; this might not be a bad thing, considering that WBA might be more inclined to use Romelu's potential to the max now. However, we all know that this means more of Fe-Fe-Fernando. Jype 6,398
A good chance for Lukaku, probably should have scored. A shot with his right foot from the edge of the penalty area straight at the keeper.
Kojo 4,676
Watching the West Brom game now, the keeper read him like a book, dived for it before he even took the shot.It was a decent finish from Lukaku, and a difficult angle for him.Meanwhile Snodgrass hits in a beauty of a free kick.
