Wanting to play CL football makes him ambitious not selfish my friend. If a player is happy to sit in a top 10 team with no CL and just take a pay cheque every week I ain't interested in having them here

Goes both ways, some of you said he loves Chelsea he wouldn't be coming if we finished like last season. Secondly he wants a big fat paycheck according to rumours anyways. Also he seems entitled to believe he should be playing CL each season. The sheer disgust I'd feel when we reach the QF and see this donkey doing feck all in 180 minutes and start blaming him after the tie, only to notice he just signed and will need to lead our line up at least 2-3 years. I seriously hope we don't sign him and if we do I hope he proves me seriously wrong because I don't see it right now.

Your hate for Lukaku is super real, and thats fine it is your opinion. IF we bring him in what would you deem a successful season from him? If he scores 25 goals and plays well in CL will that be good enough for you?

Made a completion to my post right after you quoted but yes. If he scores 25 goals and puts up decent displays after the group stages I'm all in to say I'm sorry and I was wrong but as of now I for one don't see him doing any of those 2 but will see what happens.

I don't think he is the right player for our system, in all fairness, he might be a goalscorer but his all round game isn't as rounded as Costa's or other players we are linked to like Lewandowski, Morata (who I feel would be a better suit than Lukaku), or even Harry Kane although it will never happen. The stats about less sprints and that too is also important considering Conte's emphasis on working hard and defending from the front, when you also consider Koeman is a big believer in emphasizing on similar principles too although I am sure he would buy into it but again his skill set is not that of a Morata/Lewandowski/Kane who can very much do a bit of everything. I think its an odd move for him to come here and not go to Man United in all honesty.

Agreed, Raiola and Woodward need to make it happen. Complete travesty to never see Pogba and Lukaku dab together.
