teignman 441
I must go on record as saying that I don't think the Lukaku is the right one. I not debating the fact he is talented. I just don't think he has matured enough as a player for us to know his true potential (hope that makes sense). Also, I think the money we are spending is a bit much. We should be focusing our attentions on a creative players, not our already crowded, albeit aging, strike force. _Lukaku_ 13
I think Lukaku is probably close enough which pleases me alot. Will get games, enough so that he can develop and when Drogba probably leaves next season to Marseille Lukaku will take over. And he gets a year with Drogba, his hero

J.F. 1,484
The broadsheets now reporting that we are meeting Anderlecht's representatives in Monaco on Sat (De Bruyne's agent will also be present) to discuss a £20m transfer. De Bruyne will be loaned straight back out, but Genk do not want it to be to Anderlecht. The player himself also sees a loan out to Vitesse as a step down. zolayes 14,489
question ,,,If drog couldnt play with Torres ,,,will Lukaku be able to .. so just who will lead the line next season ...Drogba ,,,Torres ,,Lukaku ,, Sturridge ,,,,will we chop and change from 4 3 3 to 4 4 2 .. rotate ..go from short ball to long ball ....head is spinning now ...one thing still seems clear ,,,if we dont get a really creative play maker ,,,we must get two out and out wingers
J.F. 1,484
I don't really know what people still think Sturridge is ever going to be a big part of the team, he is really good player, but obviously our team doesn't believe in him. I doubt very much he will even come back maybe...

lionsden 4,689
I feel Lukaku's signing = Drogba along with Lucas Piazon=kaka (Roman's longtime admirer) and Ramires=Essien without the strength are all strategic and deliberate decisions by the board. OR maybe I'm just reading too much into it
5354 204
20m a bit steep. Can he take awesome free kicks like Drogba?
FernandoTorres9 3
it's key because he is the next generation, dubbed the next Drogba? why.. like Neymar there yet to step up onto the plate and deliver when the chips are down. the debate really is will the epl be to strong and challenging after all.. Neymar was talked up after playing Scotland? Did use watch the republic of ireland play scotland? Cox tore uspart why not sign him.. Lukaku for me isn't yet ready to handle the ask of the premier league never mind champions league. 20Million is gamble that could backfire. bring in a playmaker, rightback and two wingers one flamboyant (Sanchez) and one who just digs out a cross and plays it simple (Ashley Young). it's key we buy correctly afterall we have now contenders in Shitey.. Sorry City, Arsenal, Tottenham and by the look of things Liverpool could cling along with what there doing. Sorry for a few off topics and the story. Jose M 140
Could Drogba take awsome free kicks when he was 18? Could Drogba outmuscle and out sprint any defender around him at the age of 18? I think not! Lukaku is a revelation I wish we would just fucking sign him and get this saga over with.Give lukaku 5 years in the Prem and He'll be worth 80 to 100 million, barring injury ofcourse. But when he (Drogba) was 18 years-old, he didn't cost £20m and he wasn't dubbed as the new [enter a name]. Madmax

Guest justin_3d
If they buy him, the club will have to sell Anelka and Kalou. Otherwise there will be no space for him, Sturridge, Kalou, Anelka, Drogba and Torres.
