bushman 2,043
All players like to play for 90 minutes. Is Marin good enough to be put in as the starter ?We all know, he is not. Was he given a proper chance to show his stuff ? Perhaps, thatΒ΄s debatable. So far, what I have seen or rather not seen much, he is not good enough. Money wasted on him, I feel. Popular Post! Peace. 4,352 Posted March 31, 2013 Popular Post! Share Posted March 31, 2013 No no no. Saying "he is the scapegoat" as an excuse to defend players, is too much used around there. That becomes ridiculous β even more when you realise that nobody is making a scapegoat out of anyone.Who said that Marin should be, I quote, "being amazing" ? Nobody. Who's blaming Marin for our bad performance ? Then again, nobody. What people are saying is that he is not good enough to hang around there any longer. It's not a knee-jerk reaction because he was poor yesterday. It's not because of one game. It's not because we do need a scapegoat. It's only because of accumulation of factors, this guy has "not good enough" written all over his forehead. It's as simple as the sky is high.First off, I am certainly not the only one who, around 2009-10, heard good things about him, like he was the german Messi blabla, and then from this point never heard about him again ? The concensus, from people following the Bundesliga, is that ever since 2010 he has done jack fuck. It seems that Werder fans were actually happy to get rid of him. And, even before we officially signed him, they were articles questioning the sanity of ours behind that move. Both di Matteo and Benitez snubs/snubbed him. Both of them had rather Bertrand or Benayoun playing than Marin. And it's not like as these two players were fabulous on the wing... That speaks volumes, isn't it ?What do you need more to understand he's not good enough ? Yeah, he needs playing time and bla bla bla. Really ? This guy's already 24 years-old. When you show striclty nothing at this age, then you're more than likely to never make it. But yeah, he obviously needs more game. The guy has played something like 124 games in Bundesliga. He has nearly played 200 professional games. And since 2010 β to put it in other words, since he stopped to show good things β he has played 55 games in Bundesliga and 66 games overall. And finally... Yeah, the whole team was bad yesterday. But did you see him just one thing for which you could say "wow, he has talent" ? No. One could reply me that yeah he has an assist. But having an assist from a dead ball means nothing regarding the quality of a player. This guy has no stand-out quality. He just runs around like an headless chiken. I might be harsh but that's how the truth is.Everything points to the fact that he is not good enough. We have been ripped off by Breme on this move β certainly because of a lack of knowledge of the German football. semiller1313, Rambo, ja1 and 2 others

Waterfall 893
Simply not Chelsea-level. For an insurance signing, he did his job. It'd be better for both the club and the player to part. Keikoismad

manpe 10,861
How many minutes has he played this season? Wonder if it adds up to 3 full games. Sent from my GT-S5660 using Tapatalk 2 Muzchap and Backstreet09
blu35_army 551
it's not only how many minutes he played,,but look at his first touch and keeping ball is very worst!!! there's no guarantee he can back at top perform like in Bremen.... BlueLion. 21,491
The lad needs a run of games before he can be properly judged. However what I have seen of him suggests he will be little more than an impact sub thrown on for the last 10 minutes if he stays here next season. mediator, pHaRaOn and BowtiesAreCool
ja1 1,166
He either has to have luck, or earn a run of games. Luck, in that a first team player gets injured (which would be a travesty for everyone but Marin. Imagine going from Mata and Hazard to him..), or do well in the subs and starts he gets to earn a run of games. He's not just going to get droppe into the first XI. He never impresses with the little time he gets, as I would guess he doesn't do it in training either considering RDM and Rafa both don't rate him. Just remembered how he smashed Agger by first touch and after he score). Playing time = improvement. No playing time = regress. Playing time = improvement. No playing time = regress.Exactly!During pre-season Marin looked really fucking good, then he has ZERO games and suddenly he's shit...Some people cannot understand the term 'match sharp' The same happened with Sturridge - ok he hasn't set the world alight but he's been playing well for Liverpool - and they are finally climbing up the table... He needed a run of games - same deal with Marin...So either he plays a few games in a row and is then judged, or we just offload now without ever giving him a chance... Now wonder what will happen? Of course, the latter, it's Chelsea after all....
manpe 10,861
Winning the CL was probably the worst thing that could happen to him. Imo he was signed as preparation that we would not qualify and we wanted to clinch a player early on. The moment we won the CL there was no doubt we were going after high caliber players. Otherwise we would probably be playing with Marin and Moses regularly. There is no chance we would have signed Hazard or even Oscar. The fact that we're currently in a shit situation doesn't help him either, because the manager is pressured to play the best team as often as possible.
