Exactly!!!!!! Run of bad reuslts and be the same shit

The manager shouldnt have to motivate the players they should already be!!There is no point picking and choosing what games they decide they feel they should be 'motivated for!'

Cant be bothered to argue about AVB only gana get me annoyed...like it or not he is our Manager! And he was fine to be our Manager when we were winning but soon as we loose...or not loose as the last 3 games have been the 'out talk is back'...start winning...be forgotten...bad run...back it come its an endless sodding cycle!

So 80% of our players are not motivated any more.

Seems that way..or depends who we're playing against...seemed motivated enough against Spurs and City...and Newcastle...just for some reason all gone away again

Maybe we need another game like QPR...they were damn motivated enough for that one when were down to 9..heck any time we've lost a man suddenly things spring into life

They think they can win wigan or fulham without doing any thing.

Yeah agree with that!Underestimate them and all...need to go back to the old 'every games a cup final' approch because otherwise we're just gana do a Liverpool loose points to team we in theory should be beating...

The manager is responsible for picking out the team and motivating them. Clearly it hasn't happened against Wigan and Fulham.

why do the players need motivating by AVB? They are on £100 000 per week and should, if they are good professional athletes, have a natural hunger to win. They would want to make the fans and themselves happy by winning trophies. Surely they should be able to motivate themselves? Oh wait they can't because 99% of them don't give a fuck about the club and its fans and are so self-centred that no matter how badly they play they will happily take their £100 000 wages home with them

I think yesterday's draw, unlike the one at wigan where the players were not even trying, has to be AVB's fault. He got his tactics all wrong for the first half: We were sitting too deep allowing them to pass the ball in the back with no pressure on murphy who had the ball more than any one else on the field, and most annoyingly, we had all of our back four marki ng their single lone striker which meant we were attacking with 4 men(Romeu and Raul rarely advanced in the first half), while they were defending with 10 men (you do the math).

But in the second half, AVB did every thing right in term of tactics and substitutions. I can't blame him for taking bossingwa off, if I were the manager I would've taken him off after the first cross he put in. But in the end it was a group of individual errors that cost us the goal and the win.

Bosingwa was taken off because he was injured. It wasn't a tactical sub to take him off.

There was one incident where the ball went out for a throw-in and AVB went to pick the ball up to pass it to Bosingwa. But Bosingwa was walking over really slowly and AVB got pissed off on the touchline. He was vigorously gesturing at Bosingwa to walk faster. But Bosingwa told him that he was injured. This was about 5 minutes before the substitution

However I was furious that he put Ferreira on rather than make an attacking sub

It was an attacking sub. Ferreira spent all his time on the pitch in Fullham's half, he was practically playing a wingers role. AVB could not have brought on Kalou because we already had 2 striker on the field and needed someone to cross from the right.

I get what you mean but personally I'd rather have seen Kalou come on than Ferreira

You shouldn't need motivation to beat those teams. They're shit, the players should be able to put in a good enough performance without the need to be motivated. I mean, fucking hell, isn't £150,000 a week a big enough incentive?
