Chelsea Sack Andre Villas-Boas

Yeah Bosingwa really needs to go, David Luiz is still struggling and mistake prone at the moment, that's why Cahill has to be in, if you want a good defender on the bench, then put Luiz on the bench, Cahill must start ahead of him, he would of been vital for Everton game, i think the whole defence struggled, Ivan just isn't a centre back anymore for me, should be played right back and stop playing that prick Bosingwa, shouldn't even be on the bench, should be Chalobah,Bertrand on the bench, but now it should be Chalobah,Ferriera on the bench, with Ivanovic-Cahill-Luiz-Bertrand playing.

What the hell, I really cannot see where you come from with this. First off all, David Luiz is still struggling and still mistake prone ? I do not think so. For the past month or so he has been one of our best players (and by far our best player in at least two games), and he didn't did a mistake for a long time, as far as I can recall. To say he is struggling and mistake prone at the moment... MEH. And secondly, I really don't see in what Cahill would have change something if he had been played instead of Luiz since the brazilian did nothing wrong in this game, I really can't.

I think he really struggled against Everton, he still needs guidence, Man U i was surprised he played very well, he's getting better so hush and stop getting all whiney about it, i didn't insult him. I just think he needs more guidence otherwise it will lead to mistakes, he usually puts in good performances but then lets himself down with a mistake, it can be sorted out, Coliccini for Newcastle was almost like him was brutal and kept making mistakes but not he's quality and solid in almost every game.

But you did say Cahill should come in, which is simply wrong. David Luiz's abilities are superior to Cahill's, okay so he might make a little mistake here and there but he's been very good of late. There is a reason why he's the constant in that back 4, and everyone knows Cahill's here a squad player and nothing more. He hasn't made a costly mistake in a long time, he looks more assured of himself now.

Not at all, Cahill maybe a squad player but right now he has to step up. He was impresive against Man United, and i think he can stable the defence for the time being. He should be getting played. The defence was awful in the Everton game, i think Cahill could of made a difference, David Luiz for me is still unstable, he's better off pairing with someone such as Cahill for the time being.

'pairing'. I would much agree with this. For me, Luiz must stay in that back 4 no matter what, because he offers much more than a traditional centre-back. I agree Ivanovic is not that great as a CB as I think he is on the right. While Terry is out 'Ivanovic - Cahill - Luiz - Cole' makes sense for several reasons.

With Luiz I think André's played it out perfectly though. Under Carletto he was nervous and reckless, André hasn't repressed Luiz's attacking instincts. He's even encouraged it (so it seems) but he's helped Luiz with his positioning and discipline. It's only natural sometimes he gets it wrong, as will Terry, Cahill & Ivanovic, but for now he's doing a fine job.

David Luiz has better abilities than Cahill but not in the position they play. Cahill is a better defender and has more 'CB' qualities. Did you see Luiz get skipped past for the 2nd goal? That was bosingwa-esque. No matter what he thinks he is, this guy aint a defender.

Yes, but i even think Cahill should start ahead of Luiz if AVB wants an experienced centre back on the bench rather than Chalobah who has no experience at all, Cahill isn't likely to make mistakes and for me seems reliable at the back, Bolton he very rarely made mistakes, he seems experienced and knows what he's doing, the defence is pressured to easily for me, no stability in the back, i think Cahill can help make it stable.

Indeed. Been saying it for a while, he's poor defensively. His judgement will get better with game time, but not whilst playing with Ivan at CB (who himself has become very prone to defensive mistakes for a while now). He needs to be playing with a JT-style CB for the sake of balance.

If a player who is payed above 100k a week, shows a lack of passion and desire as well as form, opinions will be made by the fans who put so much time and effort to watching the club they love with the prestige they have, and a player showing that below par quality day in day out

Why do people insist on hating Malouda? Wasn't he(winger) the top scorer for Chelsea 2010-2011, ahead of Drogba and Anelka(forwards). Maybe he shouldn't start ahead of Mata, but to slate him so harshly is beyond me.

DID YOU REALLY JUST ASK THAT QUESTION!?, HAVE YOU SEEN HIM PLAY THIS SEASON AND LAST!?. He may of got golden boot but he was still one of our worst players that season, he gifted Man U 2 goals in that 3-3 match, and he was the reason Arsenal went 4-3 up after that amazing backpass to Van Persie.

I think its time we ask ourself's the key question.

What is more likely to get us back to challenging for the title?

Sacking AVB, therefore giving these well fed "superstars" "another chance"

or

Sacking the well fed "superstars" and letting AVB get his own players.

Which is more likely to see us successful again? whether AVB is the right man for the job is still up in the air but we cannot make a fair judgement until (at the very earliest) this time next year.

You are very smart. You are trying to say that keeping AVB is the only way to "sack" the superstars. We dont have to choose between the old players and the young manager. I have another option:

- Sack AVB and buy some good players (we dont need to get rid of players like Drogba to change the team, just look at Manchester or Barcelona, some players like Puyol and Giggs are there for many years but the team is changing all the time).
