The manager is responsible for picking out the team and motivating them. Clearly it hasn't happened against Wigan and Fulham.

And letme guess the managers also responsible for scoring the goals?! Blame everything on him, yep that's the way to go!! is he also responsible for telling them when to pass and shoot?? GIVE ME A BREAK!!

The manager / coach is always to blame, like it or not!, no matter how bad his player plays, in almost every team sport the coach is to blame that how it is and will be end of story.

I'm sorry but do you know who received the blame for the Miami heat's loss in the finals?? It was LeBron James, and who is he? A player. He's a superstar who faded when his team needed him most, so sorry if I feel that players being payed £100,000+ are capable of producing when their team needs them most!!

Your missing the point, and im not saying i disagree with your point of view in general, but its still the coach who is responsibillty for the results no matter what. Who gets sacked first?. AVB is in Chelsea, and we wants results which he hasnt

delivered, so its the way of football to beginn to talk about sacking a coach, like it or not.

@HD123 Hiddink will probally give us that short term feeling off invincibilty he did last time but when he goes or the honeymoon period wears off (IE like Queen Kenny's did at Scum) what then?

Exactly!!!!!! Run of bad reuslts and be the same shit

The manager shouldnt have to motivate the players they should already be!!There is no point picking and choosing what games they decide they feel they should be 'motivated for!'

Cant be bothered to argue about AVB only gana get me annoyed...like it or not he is our Manager! And he was fine to be our Manager when we were winning but soon as we loose...or not loose as the last 3 games have been the 'out talk is back'...start winning...be forgotten...bad run...back it come its an endless sodding cycle!

So 80% of our players are not motivated any more.

Seems that way..or depends who we're playing against...seemed motivated enough against Spurs and City...and Newcastle...just for some reason all gone away again

Maybe we need another game like QPR...they were damn motivated enough for that one when were down to 9..heck any time we've lost a man suddenly things spring into life

They think they can win wigan or fulham without doing any thing.

Yeah agree with that!Underestimate them and all...need to go back to the old 'every games a cup final' approch because otherwise we're just gana do a Liverpool loose points to team we in theory should be beating...

why do the players need motivating by AVB? They are on £100 000 per week and should, if they are good professional athletes, have a natural hunger to win. They would want to make the fans and themselves happy by winning trophies. Surely they should be able to motivate themselves? Oh wait they can't because 99% of them don't give a fuck about the club and its fans and are so self-centred that no matter how badly they play they will happily take their £100 000 wages home with them
