Would you refuse a three-year contract worth €4.5 per annum at 29?!
-
No, I'm just telling you what German media and Low (not the best coach out there, I agree) think about him and his transformation in the last two years. He really is a new player, a better player defensively and I don't think you have to refer only to this Guardiola team when you talk about him. Have you forgot about him under Jupp?! That wasn't a possesion-based team, they were also defending in numbers and counter-attacking everytime when they had the opportunity. And Kroos has played as a "10" for that team, but also as a deep-lying playmaker.
-
You said you watch Kroos week-in, week-out, but you really forgot his performances under Jupp... And that was a similar team to Chelsea, only with much better players and a much better coach. Also with a counter-attacking plan in its philosophy where Kroos was the number 10! Kroos at 22, under Jupp >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Oscar at 22. Bollocks mate, he might lack pace, but he isn't lazy. Even Guardiola and Low admited he is a completely new player in terms of defensive dutties. He defends and attacks with the same rate and the player himself said that Guardiola came to him and said: "The better you get, the more defensive you play." Low even said that Kroos will be used as one of the two defensive midfielders for Germany this summer.

I know you meant Filipe. But he is no Sunday league player, he is a pro athlete mate, trained and developed to run like a dog. You run 2-3 minutes at full speed and your heart will go to 200 beats a minute. His will be 110-120. Also, your normal resting heart rate is somewhere between 65-80. His is 40. Clubs outside UK do have fitness coaches and physios too, you know. It's not like players from Atletico, Valencia, Leverkusen, Fiorentina, Lille will be injury prone after a 40+ games season.

El Confidencial mate. So, there was a meeting between the representatives of Atletico and Jorge Mendes, the super agent, yesterday. Miguel Angel Gil, the president of Atletico, told Jorge Mendes that he has put his faith in him to find replacements for Courtois, Tiago Mendes, Diego Costa, Filipe Luis and Miranda. This are the priorities as Courtois, Tiago Mendes, Diego Costa and Filipe will be at Chelsea in the next season and Miranda is wanted by Barcelona and United and they will surely trigger his release clause. Also they will need to find replacements for Diego Ribas and Insua. They signed Angel Correa from Argentina and Jorge Mendes advised them to go for Pepe Reina, Mangala, Soldado and Immobile for now.

I read something similar, too, but with Gundogan or Bender involved in the deal.

Couldn't find anything on this story in the European newspapers. Still, there's an article on Deportes Azteca website, a TV station in Mexico, written about an hour ago, that confirms what Jose1893 said.

They said on Eurosport that Real Madrid have seen their €65m plus two players offer refused today. Apparently Juventus want Di Maria included in the deal. The guy is worth every penny, no doubt about that, but how much were talking about if Juventus will keep refusing offers like that? I just have a feeling Mourinho won't go that far...
-
2006. Chelsea's trophy
-
Apparently the deal is about to be done. Marca saying that Chelsea came with a very good offer in the last hours - almost €24m (bonuses are included in this amount, so it's probabily €18-20 plus bonuses). They are saying Atletico will accept the offer. Also Filipe Luis "is delighted" with the offer as Chelsea will double his wages. Mourinho rates him as one of the best left-backs in the world.
-
Saw something about him dreaming of a move to Chelsea with Mourinho willing to take him for €11m.
-
And guess who owns and makes millions out of his image rights evey season?
-
Signed a new deal that will keep him at the club untill 2018 http://africanfootball.com/news/430249/Omeruo-agrees-new-Chelsea-contract

Fuck me, €65m, the exact amount of money Juventus is demanding + a LB and a CF, two spots Juventus is looking to strenghten this summer. And Madrid will recoup half of that money by selling Khedira. Hope it's not true tho

Half time in Paris. France 1-0 Norway. Pogba with the goal. Great talent this guy and what a presence on the pitch. Really hope Mourinho will get this lad, only sky is the limit for him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGhopG7Gl94 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sV4_ZO7qNRU

Yes, but at the same time you know things don't work this way. I mean, you can't have Matic - Vidal/Modric/Pogba as your regulars and Nate, Baker and van Ginkel on the bench. What if something happens to Matic and Vidal/Modric/Pogba before a title decider or a Champions League Final? Will those youngsters cope with the pressure? That's why you need some experienced guys on your bench. Look at Barcelona - Cesc and Song on the bench. Real Madrid - Illara and Khedira. Bayern - great midfielders on the bench every game. But I got your point, you know. I'm all for giving youngsters a chance, too and I dream at the day when Nate, Baker, Loftus-Cheek, Swift, Boga, Solanke will all be on the pitch at the same time playing for Chelsea.
-
I'm sure youngsters will get their chances at some point, but you can't say "no" to a free transfer that involves a guy who was a regular for a team that won the title in Spain and was two minutes away from lifting the Champions League trophy. Even if he is 33.

The article is from this morning. AS are saying in that article that Atletico Madrid officials have informed Simeone that is impossible to keep Courtois in Madrid anymore because of Cech's injury and because Mourinho will give him the #1 spot. Atletico are already looking for replacements with Pepe Reyna and Keylor Navas in pole position. As for Diego Costa, they write that the officials have informed Simeone that their hands are tied here and they are waiting for Diego Costa to decide if he wants to stay in Madrid anymore. This is basically another confirmation of how release clauses work in Spain - the player himself buys his way out of that club and those at Atletico Madrid know that he will trigger that release clause this summer. They are trying to convince him not to do so, but I think it's too late now since he has signed a pre-contract with Chelsea. Maybe you will find players in amateur leagues like Romania, Bulgaria, Estonia that will break that pre-contract, but big players/characters honour their agreements.
-
Bollocks. He'll be like a rabid dog now that he had a sniff at that Champions League trophy. Appetite comes with eating and he knows Atletico Madrid isn't the place to satisfy his need. He has to leave in order to have a chance to play another Final and he knows Chelsea is one of those teams that will lift the trophy once again in the next years. Why would he want to stay in Spain anymore? He has won everything there. This is Atletico Madrid wanting to force Mourinho's hand to let Courtois stay in Madrid for another year or two and maybe include Lukaku in that deal, too.
-
Can someone explain me why a team that already has a world-class right-back in Zabaleta (29) would sign Sagna (31) and offer him a contract worth around €8m per annum?!
-
Haha! Greedy bastard http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2640401/Yaya-Toure-says-honour-play-Paris-Saint-Germain-speculation-mounts-future-Manchester-City.html

Gotta admit, never been a fan of him, but he looks decent as a squad player. And he is coming after a couple of good seasons, too. He is a guy you would like to have in your locker room. Simeone praised him many times for his attitude. Good deal.
