Why did we bother to keep Lukaku till deadline day if we were planning on loaning him out?

I'm glad he went to Everton and if he doesn't get his chance at Chelsea sooner rather than later, hope he leaves and proves his critics wrong by enjoying football (Like Sturridge at LFC)

No, but I would have expected him to shine when needed. He is young and hungry for his chance. We know he can score 15+ at Premiership level but we know Torres and Ba can't produce in the Prem for Chelsea. I just hope Eto'o brings his Barca and Inter days with him.

I liked him more after he missed the penalty. He was really devastated after missing, even if it was a meaningless competition I like the fact that he cares, we've all seen those type of players that just after fucking up badly go like it was nothing and fuck all. Did or didn't doesn't prove or justify desperation. I'm not arguing that he didn't get loaned out. Lol. I believe he had what it took to be second and get a fair amount of deals. I also believe he got offloaded due to a lack of posibilities to offload Torres and/or Ba. I also believe Mou did not keep his word about his belief in the guy. I do think this has an effect on the boy - in terms of Chelsea - that effect Ell be detrimental (less loyality, desillusioned in a club that did this twice to him).
So disregarding his development (an argument is think is way overstated on here), I think Chelsea just cut in its own flesh and I hope we do not pay the price for it later if Eto'o doesn't instant deliver.
So ... To answer some! This is not a Belgium FC motivated concern, but very, very, very much a CFC related concern.
I believe (not know!) we did not do so well here (disregarding how this will affect others in the team Lukaku is close with, eg. KDB and other non-belgians) .
This is not Fifa or FM where you pass players around like pawns without them having thought, emotions and opinions on it.

It's not a panic at all.. wow... all last season we moaned and bitched about not having a class striker banging in 15 goals + whilst watching Lukaku do that for WBA. Then after a painful year of watching that we finally get back that goalscorer to only then loan him out again because we aquired the services of a 32 year old Eto'o who has been out of top flight football in a shitty Russian league. I won't listen to Schurrle can play Sriker either because I am yet to see him play as a striker at a top quality level.. he is a winger. That's why I'm annoyed and all this talk of development is a load of bollox, he had that last year and was more than ready as he showed in pre-season also. If we had signed a top class striker in the form of Lewandowski or Falcao I would have not been bothered at all about the loan but we didn't did we.

I don't agree that we were desperate to loan him out. If that was the case we should have started looking before deadline day. There's nothing that will convince me that keeping Ba over Lukaku was the right choice. Im wondering of it was because we couldn't get the right loan or sale for Ba. We're going to wind up losing Lukaku.

Its really been a disappointing summer to be honest. We only addressed one key issue we had a problem with being the goal keeper, The defensive mid and striking problems where not addressed at all but the fucking geniouses at Chelsea go on and spend 50+ million on the part of the field we least need strengthening Good going CFC. And just to sum it all up, Torres and Demba Ba are still our main strikers and Lukaku who scored twice as many as both of them is loaned out again

don't see why selling Luiz is even an option. We don't need the money and I don't think they can/will offer enough where the money would be better than keeping Luiz. I realize anything can happen. But we don't need to be a selling club and Luiz is making it clear as of late he wants to stay here. Everyone wants him now after the Confederations Cup and they'll want him even more after the World Cup. If Luiz wants to stay we shouldn't even consider selling. To me he's a big part of the current positive image of the Chelsea squad. Everyone loves him, kids, adults, the other players. The longer he stays he'll only become more important to and more of a leader to the club.

Along with the guys over at Juventus I thought Leonardo was probably one of the best Sporting Directors currently in football. Players aren't stupid and they know about Sporting Directors at clubs and with him gone some of the attraction of signing for PSG is also gone with that, especially considering Thiago Silva is now likely to leave next season.

Why is his goal versus ManU indicative of his general play when he played 14 Premier League games and scored only 2 goals and had 0 assists? You can't pick a season highlight and say "that's the way he is" anymore than you can say Torres' goal against Arsenal is indicative of HIS play. I think Ba would be a good (always second) striker to have for a team that tries to cross the ball in the box a lot because he is quite strong, but his play outside the box (defensive effort, crossing, holding up the ball, etc...) is generally quite poor. T

Very good season for him. He was very strong with Thiago Silva. Sakho paid the price of Tank's performances.
