The guy between André and Lamps is really incognito edit: now I guess it's Ryan B.

What did you say, Joe?

Actually that's one of the problems. The articles should be revised before posted, preferably by someone who has a very good English. There are typos, grammar errors and other stuff (just like this one by @NishC300, that has a message to the mods because whoever approved it, clearly didn't read it. It makes the site lose credibility if the articles have such things. So can we please get some sort of rule about reviewing the articles before posting?

No I don't because I'm one of the fans who think moving him to the DLP position is a waste. I never meant as a DLP but as a CAM, winger or the most advanced midfield in the 4-3-3... Oscar has to play near the box, he has to at least have freedom to move forward to score his goals, assist, play 2-1 with the other AM, etc... imo he played in the 4-3-3 position in Brazil during CC, as the most advanced midfield player with Hulk, Fred and Neymar ahead of him as the strikers... He was clinical in the position, but of course he has plenty to improve.
-
I agree with a lot of your points, but I can't agree about his work rate. He has the best work rate not only in Chelsea (apart from defending players), but had overall the best for Brazil during CC. He tackled the heck out of the ball and no one had better stats in the NT than him in that and also in interceptions. Out of all of our most advanced players he's the one with the best work rate... miles ahead of Hazard, Moses and Ba and light years ahead of Mata and Torres (in that department). And that's one of the reasons he disappears. For 15-20 minutes yesterday everywhere Cambiasso went, he was there, just like with Pirlo against Juventus and in both occasions he scored (had a very unfortunate finishing that otherwise would have given him 2 goals yesterday) and cancelled one of the best opposition's player. This kind of work makes a player disappear for times, but I do agree in some matches he disappeared completely, not because he was being tactically committed, but because he was simply nowhere to be found. I don't know if that's something he'll improve, if it's part of his style, or if he's just tired, but that's definitely one of the areas he can do better. He has talent and physical conditions to do so.

if it's Real Madrid I could when is the match again? on the 8th?
-
yes, none of those played and some more. They played with their kids for the most part while City had plenty of their main team... I've watched most of it and trust me, it was a mess. The defenses were hideous and although City had some of their best players, they were disorganized. It's just that when you play a B-C Milan, not scoring is sort of ridic. Milan had chances to draw even in the first half... I didn't watch the match against Valencia and I don't know if they played a better team against them, but the game against City was a joke. City conceding as many goals in 10 minutes basically was even more ridiculous. They (Milan) have a decent A-team in my opinion, definitely an improvement from Inter.

Diego Lugano - Uruguay International CB - signs with West Brom. I really like him, but he's way past his prime.

nah... just chick flick scripts I'm out of likes

there's a link for the whole match on the post-match thread

It's a great preview, @Hutcho. I think we have the edge on this one.

@xPetrCechx, happy birthday, mate! I do hope you have tons of fun today. on unrelated other news, I've got my allergy cured (thanks, Mom)
-
To summarize in one word: happy Sometimes we are resistant about things that are actually good, even if the way they present themselves is like a (bad) movie script.
-
I really want to see the combo of 1st half pivot with 2nd half AM Ramires - Van Ginkel Mata - Kevin (or Oscar) - Hazard that's the best midfield formation we have right now imo
-
hopefully he'll play Sunday. He really needs to add minutes and get used to the team and the manager. I really want him to succeed with us
-
I've watched Milan x City and they were underwhelming for the most part. But they played with their B - if not C - team and I don't know which team they'll bring to play us. I didn't watch their match against Valencia so I don't know if they played with a better team. I will probably miss the match as my boyfriend is taking me out exactly at the match's time... going to try to work it around (he'll never understand as he doesn't even like football), but chances are I'll miss all of it or most of it. I did watch Real Madrid though against LA Galaxy (twice) and Isco was just wow... I really don't get their obsession with Bale - especially for the outrageous amount of money rumored - given the players they already have. Perez is a crazy cookie... Anyway, my point is, I think the only real competition we could get in this cup is RM so we better beat Milan as I think they'll definitely beat Everton. And if we play them it's going to be a GREAT match and I wonder what Mourinho will do and say

Congrats to @CHOULO19 and @, you boys deserve it a lot. Jay, you'll get a special congrats on Twitter later.

I may be mistaken but I guess I read in the match's thread someone saying ChelseaTV would replay the match 14:30, so if it's true you can use the firstrow link and watch it.
-
@ Cris being helpful defensively. That's one of the funniest things I've ever read in this forum.
-
oh got it, mates. I haven't read @LukakutoStamford's post when I wrote mine... Thanks edit: match's replay is on and I'm watching it again now I'll pay attention to the tactics

Well I think you might be right Mata will probably play the RW and it leaves the center position open to either Oscar or KDB. My point was just Mata not being the kind of player Mou likes. As such either Mata will change his style and be the kind of player Mourinho likes or he'll lose space in the team. It seems people have no memory of what happened to players that aren't Mourinho's style of player in the teams he managed... but Mata is a hard worker as someone pointed out, so he might adapt and work to be the kind of player Mourinho expects him to be. Or what Rafa and I said may happen and he may leave the team - I just think if he goes to the bench he might leave the club as well. Personally I don't need Oscar to be a starting XI, I need him to live up his potential and develop and I'm sure both will happen under Mourinho and then being a regular in the starting XI is a consequence. He's a bit younger than Kevin so I suppose it's natural that he takes longer to make it to main team. It's already an accomplishment for him to have stayed last season instead of being loaned and to have played so many matches. How many players came to Chelsea at age 20 and not only played, but also played more matches than any other player in the season? So yeah, I'm not complaining of the chances he was given at all. And I think he'll continue to have plenty of them. His biggest competition imo is Kevin, not Mata because Mourinho seems adamant about playing Mata as a RW. Oscar is definitely not suited for the RW imo...

both things are true. They compliment each other and I guess we could play with both of them. The thing is we can't afford to have more than one player with no defensive responsibilities and that might be Hazard, although Eden had one of the best work rates there tonight. So while Eden is working hard to recover the ball and putting pressure we don't need Mata to do it. Mata added a pace we didn't have in the first half, but it felt like it was like the team settled down when he came in rather than him making an impact all by himself. It shows how much the teams trusts Mata... Also feels like Mata improved Eden, as Oscar played closer to Moses than to Hazard imo

oh you guys are always so nice to me! Thanks a lot! My general English may be deep, but my football lingo is ridiculously small Good thing there are always so nice guys like you to explain it to me in a way I can understand
