  1. It's basic Chemistry here as well. That's my point, i just couldn't understand anything about Chemistry! Anything. I am glad i am an Engineer! I had to resist the urge to correct your equation! I am a Chem Eng and a teacher so everything about your post made me sad because a good teacher wouldn't have left you struggling like that! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  2. They are less likely to report you. But yeah there are lots of girls who probably would. Depends on the Girl. Oh, my heavens, I worry about most of you... Most girls (with an ounce of self respect) would not let a random stranger walk up and kiss her. Not a proper kiss, especially. There may be times when he swoops in before you can stop him but there is no way he is getting more the closed lips and a shove away. Brad Pitt included, I wouldn't let his craggy nasty self near me! Yuck... Yes, I realize I am in a minority of women but he is not sexy to me... Most roles he is to slick like a used car salesman and when he plays a tough guy he just isn't brawny enough to pull it off. Add in his weird habit of becoming more like his women and the ick factor grows. Back on topic, if all you want is a shag and quite possibly an STD go for the girl handing out her favors like Halloween candy but when you are ready to get serious, it's the girl watching you with the twinkle in her eye and the smile when you catch her looking that you need to look twice at. 3. I'm looking forward to being able to walk into a cafe and read the behind the counter menu. Sick and tired of getting a coffee and learning how much it cost when I pay for it. I completely understand! I have contacts that I can wear for several days and I love the fact I can see the alarm clock in the morning is enough to make my day... With out them I need to be about six inches from the damn clock! Forget trying to order something! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  4. Says the arsehole wearing glasses in his profile pic...haha. Brat Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  5. I can see fine without them. Imagine I see at 85% capacity, but that extra 15% is amazing. It's like going from Standard to High Definition.I an nearsighted as well and yes that extra bit is amazing especially when driving! Mine is bad now, I need them foe good definition of anything past a meter or two. Transition lenses change automatically to sunglasses in UV they are amazing. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  6. I feel for you I have had them since I was 13. Just don't break them and get the transition lens if you can! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  7. I just don't get how anyone who has kids can still come out and defend the legalization of carrying guns after a story like this! That is a question I have been asking myself for years and I still have no answer to it. I have many good friends who are normally very rational people but when it comes to guns they become irrational and rabid. On an odd note, I am licensed to carry a handgun, but never filed the papers to get the license. The only reason I went through the course was because I was applying for a job at the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (state level FBI) in their firearms and tool markings division. Since, I had never fired a gun or been near one we decided that I might want that knowledge before my interview. I ma it through the initial set of interviews but declined the next round when I found out it would require me to live in city 3 hours away from my family for 2-3 years for training. my kids were still very little then. 8. I had a similar one, but my mom would not let me put the ring in it fearing I would hurt my self! But in principal, why should there even be such toys for kids? What is the message we are giving to children? That guns are fun? Of course I'm in no way comparing that to giving a 5yo an actual fucking rifle! Worst part is that it was judged to be a complete accident and "no charges will be raised". What about the idiots for parents? Throw those fuckers in jail! Unfortunately, this is not the first or last of these stories that I will hear. The typical one is a kid showing off his dad's gun to a friend... I think the gun company should be held liable for making a weapon for and marketed to children. The parent's should lose custody for child endangerment and be charged with accessory to murder. Of course, part of their punishment has already been determined: they have lost one child, they will forever know it was their other child's fault, and live with the knowledge that it all could have been prevented if they had used their damn brains and bought him a bike or a dog for his birthday... Both would have been more fun and much safer! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  9. WHAT?! He's not going to stop growing any time soon, either! How tall is Doug, Kerry? He is 6 ft! Doug's brother is 6 ft 3 in and he has several uncles near that height. I have a feeling he will grow quite a bit more! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  10. Messi took HgH injections for 4 years until he was 19.Since males stop puberty by the time they are 18-20, my guess is you would continue until that time. And yes, it will cause changes in your genitalia as well as your height and muscles. HgH is the hormone that triggers the others involved in puberty. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

  12. They range... If you have a random combo that means nothing its cheaper. But if you want 007 for example, then because its obviously the only one and that in demand, it would probably be like 100k or something stupid. In the US there is a cost too, it depends on the state. Typically you are limited to 7 characters. Again it depends on the state some will require you to have both numbers and letters. When we lived in Maine it was really cheap so Doug and I had Human on his (he is a HR guy) I always told him I was going to put Being on mine! LOL Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  13. But is that the reason or the "excuse"? I know a lot of people battling the same thing who don't look over weight. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  14. Although we are American, I teach and my kids are in a British school so I am used to talking about education in both US and UK terms at the same time. Given the upper level classes you are taking the B's will look better than a kid with lower level classes and all A's. filling out the picture by being active in sports and volunteering makes you look more well rounded and able to adjust to college life. Those straight A bookworm kids can struggle in college because their social skills are lacking. I would also continue with the Mandarin, 4 years of a language looks good and gives more depth to your schedule. My son (also year 11 or 10th grade) will not be doing any AP courses because he is at a British school. He is taking his iGCSE exams over the next month, then he will begin his pre-IB program; Interlochen Fine Arts Camp for Visual arts in the summer, and then he will start his IB program in the fall. He is bummed because he wanted to take two sciences and math at the higher level so he had to give up art. But, he can take classes out side of school to help fill his CAS requirement. He also plans to get his gold level international award (used to be the Duke of Edinburgh Award) next year. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  15. I read all the time, but what I read is mostly books like "Why is there antifreeze in my toothpaste" "Napoleon's buttons" or "The disappearing spoon" Which are all non-fiction chemistry/history books, my Mandarin translation/homework, or I am reading what my children are reading so I know what they are reading. Other than that its crap romance books that require no thought but make me laugh and allow my mind to relax. LOL Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  16. Hi James welcome to the board. Please jump in and join the discussions. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  17. What? That is unthinkable for me! I live in Sao Paulo, which has 11.8 million people. Only my high school had 3 thousand students, half your whole town population... USP has about 127k students, which is almost all Pr22's entire city... I cant grasp both of your realities! I do understand yours however since I live in Shanghai with a population of 24 million. I never dreamt of living in a big city, let alone liking it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  18. Niiice, I always wanted to know how it feels to be in a small student town, must be great to party! :eyebrows: 150,000 is not a small town... That is a small city! The township I grew up in has 6,000 residents! That is small tow, the village has 1200 of those. http://www.brooklynmi.com/ The nearest city only has a population of 33,000! The town I went to college in had more than both of those combined! Purdue located in metropolitan Lafayette, Indiana with a population of 178,000 a good portion of those being students and faculty. 19. I just have one question for you: Is there a 20yo single version of you, because I'd marry her on the spot! Aw thanks That is a huge compliment! My daughter is a carbon copy but she is only 12 and firmly believes she needs her vet degree and to play in a World Cup before she looks seriously at a boy LOL I do have a 21 year old niece tho ;> Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  20. Actually studies show that girls liking pink is not just a society or marketing thing, but rather something biological: http://www.time.com/time/health/article/0,8599,1654371,00.html Oh well, I have never been accused of a girly girl, I don't where makeup often when I do it is mascara, lip gloss and maybe bronzer but only if my husband and I are going somewhere special LOL I tell my hairdresser if she gives me a style that takes me more than 15 minutes to do then it won't happen, I'd rather watch a football match than shop, and I prefer shorts and a t-shirt to being in a dress and all dolled up What you see is what you get and I am honest to a fault (sometimes too honest) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  21. I am taking the SATs to see if I can transfer to an USA University! Good luck mate, wish you all the best! Best of luck! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  22. AP's overrated. I took Calc AB exam last year and got a 5, but I retook Differential Calculus at UBC anyway like most other people who'd done AP, which I think was a good decision. It doesn't really make sense to not do any math at all for an entire term, and AP's really a dumbed-down version of university first year stuff, so you actually miss out on a few things. I don't know what your plans are, but try not to stress yourself over that stuff because you'll probably have to redo it in the future anyways. By the way, if you're entering high school next year, that means you're in grade 9 or 10, doesn't it? That's really early for AP. Blue-- good luck! The best thing you can do is get a good nights sleep the night before the exam and eat a healthy breakfast. Cramming at the last minute does not help. Don't wait too long to take your SAT and Don't weigh yourself down with AP classes that will only add stress. 4 AP classes is a lot and not necessarily beneficial. You might be better off dropping one in favor of picking up an extracurricular service club that will look better on your college application. NMR: he still needs to do well on the exams or it will look like he did not try or his grade in the class is not representative of his knowledge. I agree with you on the AP being overrated for Maths and science. Students who will major in those topics will need to take the college level majors courses anyway. Those who won't however might save themselves from having to take some math and science. Btw he is a sophomore in high school meaning the 10th grade or year 11 in the UK system. He will graduate in May or June of 2015 and then to University. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  23. Not all of us do, I personally detest most shades of the color except the very pale ones... So they are more white! Oh, my daughter is just like her momma her favorite color is BLUE @Backstreet and anyone else taking their a level/AP/IB/GCSE/iGCSE or year end exams Good Luck on your exams. I hope you exceed your wildest expectations!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  24. Yikes... I am going to sign off now never god when I watch live. Hope we win and Mata scores on his Birthday, Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  25. I tried to sleep in, but my husband had to work. So at 8 am when the guy came to read the gas meters and started asking my son a bunch of thins in Mandarin. So, Nathan woke me up and after a 10 minute conversation in Mandarin that I understood less than 1% of and some charades and gestures, I finally figured out he needed to see another meter on my water heater. This was the first time in two years anyone has asked to do that!! What a way to start my day! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
