  1. There's a boy in every man BC! Oh, I know DDA and sometimes it's sweet. Today, it was just weird and a bit icky to be honest. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  2. $20 for a single ticket? Next to impossible i guess for an above average families to go to the movies!! Where i live, its $3 for a normal viewing, even less if you are ready to sit in the front rows which most of us did when we were in college!! For a 3D movie, its just slightly more, 30 rupees more which is not even equal to $1. But i have been to Delhi a lot and there is this ticket in multiplexes which is close to $8 but you get a very comfy sofa to sit, not a regular seat but a sofa! And you can order your snacks while sitting there and you will get it in your sofa without moving you ass! A pretty royal feeling, sitting in the last row and being extremely comfortable!! That's considered sort of expensive here!! Don't know about Mumbai or other cities though!! In the US cinemas, seating is general admission! So that price is regardless of where you sit! Worse if you have a group and it is a popular movie then you may not all find seats together unless you get there early! The service is much better in your cinemas! In the US, they are barely civil at the snack counter and would not think to bring you anything! They may have fancy ones that do that, I read that some cities have one with seating similar to a coffee bar or jazz club where you could order food and drinks. I have never lived near one. 3. Some of the boys are behaving like immature boys... My current plan is to ignore their de-evolution and wait for their brain to kick in and take back control from the little head. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  4. Really? I thought movie prices would be kind of similar across the world. Although i gotta say a small bucket of popcorn and a large pepsi costs just marginally less than the ticket itself! Don't know if the ticket price is less or the snack prices are incredibly high! They range greatly across the US, the average is around $8US, but in places like NYC it can be $20 or more. If it is a 3D movie the add a surcharge of $3-5! And then the snacks as you say are incredibly expensive given that a bowl of popcorn or a cup of soda really only cost the theater about 1/50 or less of the price they charge. A small soda cost about 10¢ for the cup and maybe that to fill it! There is a case in Michigan where someone filed a lawsuit against the theater because they banned outside snacks and then charge so much. I doubt it will get him anything but if it does I bet someone files against Disney too! A family night at the movies should not cost me as much as a dinner at a decent restaurant! 5. Yes, the industry here is massive and they fact we are so densely populated may be the reason behind it's rapid growth! As i have said before, India is changing and at pace. We are the one of the most rapidly growing economies in the world and that shows in most of the fields which includes Sports and Bollywood. Regarding prices, it was very reasonable when i was a kid. After the multiplexes came along, the prices have been going up but in some small cities where there are still single screen theaters , the prices are still very good for people to go and enjoy the movies. It is nice to hear it is affordable, movie prices on. The US cinema prices are very high and raise every year. It makes it hard to take a family to see a movie, unless it is at a theater that runs movies that are not first run theaters. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  6. I watched a news piece on the film industry in India the other day. They said it is the most prolific and rapidly developing film industry in the world. I was amazed at how inexpensive cinema prices are!

  11. Mexico is considered to be part of North America in a geographic context. I prefer the term Central America to Latin America, geographically it is a better term. @Martina, you are not alone in your age group. @guys, if y'all would scare away all but the strongest women there might be more of us! LOL

I am lucky enough to still be in love and still be loved very much, which is the result of both of us putting in effort to keep our relationship strong and healthy. 20. Oh yes indeed i did been keeping up on the news for months. Initial trailer looks very impressive but it is going to be hard to get across a truly faithful adaptation and they have admitted as much. Love seeing my favorite books and book series turned into film and TV. Just waiting now for the adaptation of Stephen King's "Dark Tower" series which has been talked about for ages now..... Yes, that is Doug's worry too. We will have to wait for the video as I doubt they will release a non-dubbed version here Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  21. Good lord, man! I'd rather read your French shite! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  22. Sectarianism is my favourite. Haha, that lists Whiskey as an Scottish invention. Sure they drunks are famous for it but it sure as hell wasn't invented there! King Arthur was from Cornwalll...I could be wrong! I also love (hate) how they mention Alexander Flemming discovered Penicilin yet completley fail to mention they MEDICAL APPLICATION OF PENICILIAN WAS INVENTED BY AN AUSTRALIAN. HOWARD FLOREY FOR THE WIN! BOOM. Dinnae wut yer torkin aboot. ACK. The Chemistry ones are right, but you also need to remember Scots will claim all their descendants around the world. I was talking to a Scots woman who asked which clan I was from and I told her I had no Scots but my husband did. She looked at me with a sympathetic look and said "Well, dearie, then you are one of us!" Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
