When has he ever made it clear ? It’s not clear until he submits a transfer request... He’s made hints to the media, how disrespectful is it to post a few days ago that you can’t wait to be back and not show up to training. Proves what kind of person he is.
-
If he wanted to leave he is the first one to act by submitting a transfer request, he hasn’t done this in all these “years” he wanted to leave. Has he ever told the club he wanted to leave officially? Doubtful or we wouldn’t have Sarri saying he wants to talk to him face to face. He tried to be clever and play games, making stupid sly digs in the media etc. While he has a year left and there is no transfer request, we call the shots.

Yea this is getting to me as well, if he wanted to go he should have put a transfer request early in the window. This shows a complete lack of respect to the club the way he has handled this, a year is a long time and he should be made to stay and rot on the bench. Alternatively we sell him and spend 30m on someone to fill the gap for a year or 2.. might as well lose 30m and teach him a lesson. I know it’s not my money lol it just irritates me that this clown thinks he’s better than the club who showed faith in him as a teenager, no respect what so ever. Even Luis Suarez signed a new contract with a clause to show his respect to Liverpool so they get what he’s worth.

Understand your thinking on other options for Luiz. Attacking midfielder though just wouldn't work. Unfortunately he is just not going to cut it as CB, he has been making these same schoolboy errors since he first joined us, he goes to press the ball and completely misses it and takes himself right out the game, does that time and time again, he is an experienced defender now guys, he isn't going to change.
-
Wants to leave so where is the transfer request? He has been the best goalkeeper the world has ever seen over the last few seasons and we owe him dearly, we should show him some damn respect guys. We should all bow down to his demands and let him see his kids, he's been that much of a professional for us, as a good will gesture we should continue to pay his wages for the next year (I.e. last year of his contract) even though he will be playing for Real.
-
I think so too, anyone that thinks our window shuts and the speculation is over are going to be in for a surprise I think. We will have speculation until the end of August.. closing the window early has done nothing good for us. We are going to suffer with the speculation more than anyone I think, the only way we could cover this up is with results but it is clear there is a lot of work to be done before we can expect to be winning games.

I would bet that Drinkwater and Zaha are on similar salaries, As I posted in the other thread, it's not "Very simple." Why would Crystal Palace get rid of their star man Zaha to add Drinkwater to their books and have to pay him the same over the next few years?
-
I think it's more difficult than people realise , we have deadwood on our books, some with 4 years left on contracts at 100k p/w. It's not just finding a club willing to pay money for them, that club also has to match their wages or give some more incentive for player such as Bakayoko, Drinkwater etc to want to leave their 4 year contracts here and sign for a smaller club probably on lower wages. I'm sure if we did have a 30m offer for Drinkwater the club would snatch their hands off, but nobody is going to pay it and when we have the reputation we do, people do not expect to pay for our fringe players they expect to get them on loan on a try before you buy and only have to pay half their wages.... Problem is we all know if we send Bakayoko/Drinkwater on loan they are not going to increase their values and we've just spent 80m for some other club to benefit from them. Morata just stinks of the Torres saga, even the fee. We have the same problem with him I believe, who is going to want to take a 60million risk, sure, some smaller clubs maybe, even a club like Everton could get together a 50/60m fee now days but Morata is only going to refuse these smaller clubs, we're stuck with him.
-
I think he should carry on with his strongest 11, or what he believes in - they need time on the pitch to try and get this right.
-
He will have to adapt, like every other manager has had to.
-
Don't think he made the squad today bud, Didn't see him on the bench and he certainly wasn't on the pitch
-
Not even interested in trying to win this one are we lol.
-
Thing is what nobody seems to mention is that it's clearly not working this game but we did not really change anything. That is not a good sign from the manager in my opinion.
-
De Bryune is the only name that walks into their XI. Pep chose to start Bravo David Silva? telling you now if he was on the pitch it would be even worse.
-
Our two best players aren't in our squad and we have Morata up front City are also missing a couple of their best players. They have a youngster in Foden dominating our midfield
-
Jorginho transfer request to City in the morning
-
If this was a few weeks further in to premier league we would be getting slaughtered here. We're being let off big time. I think a fitter Aguero would have had a hattrick already. EDIT: Looks like he might get a hattrick anyway at this rate...
-
Jorginho being exposed big time
-
I think it's tactical from Pep, we have possession but still look the most likely to concede a goal while we have the ball lol.
-
Watch Sarri pull a Conte now and take off Jorginho for Drinkwater
-
I think this is tactical, Pep is showing Sarri up here.
-
Looking at things we need a lot more than 1 player as Sarri suggested. Most of these players are not suited to the system we are trying to play.
-
we're just too slow all over and when we do something quick no 2 players are on the same wavelength
-
This is really poor from us
-
Bakayoko isn't even on the bench
