I'm with you on this one - while I'm not against the signing, I don't think we will go in to a bidding war for him. He looks good, and would be an exciting addition to our midfield, but i'd rather see Barkley get the chance as well.

I agree with you but 31m considering he's in the final year isn't bad and if he were to sign a big 5 year deal, I wouldn't be against it, the only issue I have with him is his constant digs in the press and this world cup has made his head 2 x bigger and he wants even more now. Signing a new deal would put this to bed, for a few years at least so we could go forward without speculation of a goalkeeper. I just don't see him signing a new deal.

31m is a good offer for him on his last year. Doesn't look like he's going to sign so we have to sell. Our window closes before Spain though so we only got 3 weeks to get a replacement, we can't wait for him to come back from holiday and then decide he wants to go.

Key thing here that not many are mentioning is Spain do not have a shortened window, they could sign hazard even after our window is closed though I cant see the club letting that happen.

Anyone worried about the timing of the transfer windows, this year ours will shut early August but in Spain they have till the end of August. They can come in for our players after our season starts, sucks. This early closure really benefits the smaller clubs in the league but it screws us big time with all the speculation on our players linked with Madrid/Barca etc.

Losing Courtois is not a problem. Losing Hazard as well will be.

Hard to sum the day up really - absolutely gutted about this. He was always going to leave or he would have signed a new deal last year. Him and Tibo have been stalling on contracts waiting for Real to come knocking and looks like that's going to be this year. Bad timing that it's all come this late and leaves us no time, if Willian goes as well we're screwed.

So now the Spanish media are saying that PSG will offer him a new contract, like they know anything about PSG... It stinks of a media stunt this does. They make it look like he's set to sign a new deal then Real come in with a massive offer and make it look like they convinced him to join them. I hope this is the case anyway, anything to keep them away from Hazard, they can take Tibo.
