YESSSS!!! Younger and fresher than Guus, even if he doesn't know the players and club as well. The new Jose, anyone?!
-
Agreed - there's tonnes more unreliable sources out there. It's hard to keep up on which newspapers actually print factual information!
-
Congrats and good luck. Well deserved!

What absolute scum Liverpool "fans" are.

Anderlecht Pres. Roger Vanden Stock tells Lavenir that keeping Lukaku would be like major signing & that bids have not reached 20mill. #cfc http://twitter.com/#...991860301729792

I want Hiddink, Modric, Sanchez, Pastore, De Bruyne and Lukaku. Think we'll get all of them except Pastore and Sanchez.

Yeah, the interview was with Le10Sport. Many newspapers are attributing the quotes from a Sun interview (which has caused a massive fuss with Liverpool fans), but The Sun just took the quotes. They're having a go at him on Twitter for it, despite the fact he didn't speak to them or say anything against Liverpool.

I swear a couple of days ago they were reporting that Mourinho didn't want him?

Sorry to hear about your loss. Welcome back though and well done/good luck with your exams!

Chelsea involved in Romelu Lukaku talks, say Anderlecht Anderlecht have said they are in talks with Chelsea over the possible transfer of Romelu Lukaku to Stamford Bridge. The 18-year-old Belgian striker has been linked with a move to the Premier League runners-up for a few months. Anderlecht general manager Herman van Holsbeeck said: "There is still a long way to go in the negotiations. "We are indeed negotiating with Chelsea, but there are other clubs we are talking to." The teenager has also been linked with Chelsea's Premier League rivals Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham. He was linked with a move to England in January but instead stayed with Anderlecht until the end of the season. The transfer could involve Blues midfielder Kevin De Bruyne joining the Brussels club on loan. Van Holsbeeck added: "It could happen in the next half hour, it could take until 31 August - that is football." Chelsea appear to be negotiating transfers despite being without a manager since May following the departure of Carlo Ancelotti. This week they were reported to have had a £22m bid for midfielder Luka Modric rejected by Tottenham. http://news.bbc.co.u...ll/13817163.stm

Chelsea nearing double deal for Romelu Lukaku and Kevin De Bryune Anderlecht have finally confirmed they're in talks with Chelsea over the summer transfer of striker Romelu Lukaku. Genk's highly-rated winger Kevin De Bruyne has also revealed he's ready to sign for the Blues – even if he's immediately loaned out to Anderlecht as part of the deal for Lukaku. Herman van Holsbeeck, general manager of the Brussels outfit, told Sky Sports: 'There is still a long way to go in the negotiations (for Lukaku). 'We are indeed negotiating with Chelsea, but there are other clubs we are talking to. 'It (a deal) could happen in the next half hour, it could take until August 31, that is football.' Meanwhile, 19-year-old De Bruyne has apparently expressed his wish to join the Blues after helping to guide Genk to the Belgian league title. 'Kevin is ready to step forward in his career now, he has done what he needs to at Genk and is ready for the next step,' said his agent Patrick de Koster. 'And Kevin wants to move to England. 'He knows Chelsea have been following him for a long time, and Chelsea would be his first choice, I had meetings with other clubs - although nothing more than on a scouting level, but he knows what can be achieved at Chelsea. 'Kevin, though, is happy with the prospect of joining Anderlecht (on loan) - he has stated that himself. 'He knows Chelsea have a history of this (loaning out players) and if you do well you will get your chance.' Read more: http://www.metro.co....e#ixzz1PXBTUDvX

I'd love if he started singing "ever seen Gerrard win the league?"!
-
A whole article based on assumptions from a quote. Genius. Nice to see Torres being used as a scapegoat once again due to his performance and fee. No mention of Nicolas "Le Sulk" Anelka, eh?
-
Talks confirmed by Sky.
-
De Bruyne: "I have had time to think about my future and I would love to join Chelsea."
-
Hopefully easy home games on the first and last day of the season.
-
Good to know they're negotiating.

Powerful Midfielder Michael Ballack signed for Chelsea during the summer of 2006 by José Mourinho on a Bosman Transfer. Along with Essien and Lampard, Ballack was one part of a Midfield trio that bullied opponents with brute force and unrelenting work ethic. Ballack was known for his goals and attacking prowess in Germany but gave up that aspect of his game to give stability to the Midfield and allow Frank Lampard to venture foward and net his usual 20 goal haul. Ballack picked an impresive five trophies during his four years at Stamford. One League Cup (06-07), three FA Cups (06-07, 08-09, 09-10) and one Premier League (09-10).Ballack continued his unfortunate reputation of being a nearly man when Chelsea lost the 07-08 Champions League final to Manchester United. This was the second time Ballack had lost a Champions League Final; the first being with Bayer Leverkusen in 01-02. After Chelsea Ballack's dream of retiring at Chelsea was denied when he was refused a contract extension after his leg was broken during the 09-10 FA Cup final caused by a Kevin Prince-Boateng tackle. This poorly timed leg break made the Germany Captian miss the 2010 World Cup. The German Captaincy was handed to Bayern München Captain Philipp Lahm. This didn't sit will with Ballack and to this day he is certain that he still the rightful Captain of Germany. Ballack departed Chelsea on the 9th June 2010 and on the 25th June 2010 he signed for Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen. Ballack had previously played for Leverkusen for three seasons and had scored 38 times for them. Click here to view the record
