As with what Toronto said, he is a good manager but he will benefit again massively by inheriting a good side and having huge transfer funds to work with. But is it also the case of will Jose stay here for long. At heart Jose does seem to have conflict written in his blood. In 3 of his jobs as manager (Benfica, Chelsea and now Real Madrid) he has left because, at least in part, tensions and fissures started to from between him and the board. If its correct from reports he won't get full control of everything football related like transfers. I can't see it any other way then that sooner or later he will start getting into conflict with the hierarchy and eventually have to leave like last time because his relationship with the board and other members of the club become too tense to work properly.

You're forgetting that he is also a Premier league footballer, so its natural that he will want as much money as possible. Its just that he also knows the right words to say to the Chelsea fans to give them the impression that he loves them and the club dearly and does not at all care about financial interest. I can see him becoming an MP when he retires.

I guess Rafa will be feeling proud that in just 7 months as a Chelsea manager he has won us a major European trophy, while his rival Jose never got us to a final.

Its funny, but that outburst after the Middlesbrough probably was the key turning point to get us to where we are now.

I was referring to before Benteke got sent off if you actually paid attention. Which proved my thesis that Lampard can't handle the opposition pressing against us. Its no coincidence when we drew 2-2 with United that as soon as Lampard was taken off, had someone to anchor the midfield and allowed Ramires to bomb forward that we had complete control of the game. It shows that Lampard should no longer be one of the main men and that if we are to challenge for the title then thee team should no longer include him as one of the main focuses of our play. Something that I fear will not happen under Jose.
