  1. Tony Pulis - Give that man the manager of the year award. But Everton, talk about bottling it.
  2. But surely at this stage of the season its trying to find (however unlikely it might be) consistancy with a striker instead of breaking it all up and stopping anyone developing good form.
  3. Precision is the key to eternal enlightenment. Pretentious philosophical mumbling turned off.
  4. Correction, 95% of the media's populaton want Liverpool to win. If you look at the commnets on all the articles, about 95% of them are people showing their displesure about all the wankfest
  5. What are the chances that he will be first choice striker for the reast of the season? Considering that he is probably the closest thing we have to a target man (although that's not his best attribute anyway) and with Eto or Torres we either way stuggle to create chance somight as well have someone we can use a route one approach if necessary.
  6. If Liverpool do win, then thank god its World Cup Year, that might die down the wankfest for atleast 5 seconds.
  7. What an incredibly stange tital race. On the one hand Liverpool winning against City gives us a very good chance of winning it. Yet if we do beat Liverpool and City win all their games (which the fixture list shows is not impossible)then we effectively hand over the title to City. Although given that we will be handing it over from Liverpool would be hilarious in a surreal way.
  8. A victory for us surely? Sunderland are pretty much relegated and facing us at home, I know people say matches are not decided until the final whistle but surely?
  9. Of course you do realise that if we do beat Liverpool Man City will win the title if they win the rest of their games. Still too close to call.
  10. Although I do think it was made clear that the poll would close after the PSG game. so people were given notice of this
  11. I may be one of the only ones who did not want this fixture. If I'm correct Madrid are like us in the sense that they have a rigid system where everyone has their role, a good emphasis on athelticsm and workmanship, and an emphasis of everyone having defensive duties. Just like in a magnetic force, when both of either a postive or negative force face each other both will push away from each other. That happened in both Champions league semi finals againsts Rafa's Liverpool and if my idea of Madrid are correct (although feel free to correct me as I have not watched a lot of Spanish football this season so my idea may be wrong) then the same could easily happen in the next few weeks. Atleast with Bayern or Real they will try and go on the front foot which Mourinho loves because it allows us to hit on the break. With Atletico we may be having two stalemate matches where the winner will be decided by either just one goal or on penalties.
  12. I'm talking about the whole of European media.
  13. Are people really still using age to argue that Courtois should not get the no.1 position becuase of thisand a so called lack of expeience? Despite what he has done in the 3 years at Madrid. Its that kind of thinking that results in our youth academy being nothing but a shambles.
  14. And who is the team that is likely to win the World Cup or atleast do well in it? Brazil with its defence that is allowed to take a more free form with defenders like Luiz allowed to move forward with the ballat their feet, or England who will have the likes of Cahill and Jagielka? And despite Chelsea doing well in this season's champions league and the commercial side of the Premier league claiming its the best league in the world; there is a school of thought thought that teams in the Premier league are on the decline and that the worlds top talentsare rejecting England to play their football in the likes of Germany and Spain and therefore we will not see the Englishdomination of the Champions league between 2005-2012 for a long time. Just a thought, considering like I said if media reports are to believe clubs in Europe are willing to pay £30 million pounds for him.
  15. This thread (and the general media attitude in England) shows just how different the English thinking is on many aspects of football compared to otther parts of the world. On the one hand he constantly gets critisized for his apparent rash behavior and acting against what is considered the English way of defending. Yet on the other hand he is almost certain to be the first choice Centre back (along with Thiago Silva) for the Brazil teamin the world cup and is often seen as as someone clubs are willing to pay £30 million pounds for.
  16. That must of been very tight. Last time I checked (about 42 hours ago) Hazard was in the lead by about 6-7 votes.
  17. Perhaps goal of the year would be better done at the end of the season. I remember last year when people decided to start these awards around this time and them something like the David Luiz screamer against Basel happened.
  18. Andre I think I love you more with each passing day.
  19. Hazard should be the number one penalty taker when on the pitch.
  20. Just looked at the fixture list. We still have to play Liverpool who also have to play Man City, and we also benefit from having teams who for the most part are probably going to get relegated (Cardiff on the last day) or teams who are safe andhave nothing to play for. So despite the fact its not in our handsI still think City and Liverpool have the capacity to drop more points. If that were to be thecase it would mean that the team stops acting like the season is already over and we push for a final set of good form.
  21. Iagree. Its probably becuase in Brazil he has a much more free role, actually being allowed to play as a natural no. 10. While at Chelsea because of Jose's obsession for defensive duties and demand that everyone tracks back may be the reason why Oscar does not create enough since he is not been given the freedom to balance his attention on the ball and what is happening around him.
  22. If that was Terry or Cahill who gave the own goal, there would be a huge rush of members claiming that they were incredibly unlucky and give them no blame at all. Ah the life of a scapegoat.
