Doubt we can get a striker with Costa's goal amount as cheap as we could, guessing at least another 50 million for Cavani (if that!) and probably the same for Falcoa. In reality we kind of dropped the ball last season by not signing one of them, but we should/can redeem ourselves by getting ONE major striker, keeping one of the three 'strikers' we have and keeping Romelu. Out of the three to keep, i am turning towards Etto, but Ba has shown his usefulness this season as a precarious third option.

Romelu has out-scored ALL of our strikers for TWO seasons running - fuck problems in play he might have, he can score and that is what football is based on! I can't see a single reason why he shouldn't be here next season - he has shown, TWICE that he can score in the Premier League in double digits (which is more than any other striker we've had since Drogba) and he is still only 20 years old.

Shocking to hear! Hope it's just some BS, taking it is on thing - but dealing?

Nice to see Azpil giving a mention as a 'spine' as well as Kalas. I am really 'giddy' about the future, for the first time in some many years i might add, under a manager and what we can become. We have the potential (been there for a couple of years) and now we have the mastermind! Bring on summer preseason

Are you still alive? Guessing the head smashes to the keyboard must have at least knocked you out. Ramires, I'll give it another year to judge tbh. Like some said, a good squad player option for certain games, but an all-in starter like Matic, and i doubt Jose isn't going to buy a CM or at least thinking of implementing someone like Josh or Chalobah in.
-
Nice to see the power Jose has Can't wait for next season
-
The future is indetermined in present, so only hope can guidance to the best solution - or the simple solution, which i know Jose would have thought of.

I thgouht this was about the Boston Bomings, not some bitch contest. FFS 5 people died, and 280 people were affected froms this outcome. Leave the shit at the door, and the conversation be about what it should be. And to be back on-topic, my birthdat is April 15th and i felt more because it was the first year anniversary of the incident than i did of the Hillsborough Incident's 25th, (though i did feel a little sad due to the fact my step-brother was there when it happened).

I would use the attacking 442 and the 4132. Cole -- Cahill --- Terry --- Azpilicueta Matic -- Luiz/new dmc (Chalobah?) Willian Oscar Hazard Lukaku --- Costa 442 (OR 4-2-2-2) Matic --- Luiz Willian------------------------------Hazard Lukaku----Costa Of course that is based on two variables, that 1) Lukaku is apart of the first team (or a Chelsea member) and 2) we sign Costa

I have not seen a Chelsea game were he has dissapointed me, thus far, and i am kind of ashamed how he left for so little and came back for so much. But, could he be the man in the 4-1-3-2 formation that, i hope, we could use next season? Ie, could he operate that position in the responsibility and 'skill/talent' to handle that? I think next season we should try a system with two strikers, preferably Costa and Lukaku. The whole league seems to built around the 4-2-3-1 formation, or the 4-5-1, and maybe we could add more of a threat with both a Drogba-like player as Costa and the paceful/sharp finisher of someone like Lukaku (which i think is the kind of player he is, his dribbling skills isn't grand but his power and pace would surely add to that kind of role). We still use the idea of two wingers and a attacking midfeilder (or the '10' role) but it puts more pressure in the defensive midfielder role - and that, at the moment, is seemingly on the shoulders of Matic! Could he be that role?
-
I will hold my excitement down for either BBC or SkySports to announce it mate

Anyone else think that maybe he wasn't looked in earlier in the season was maybe Jose told him to work on a specific part of his game? I mean, i see Jose as a perfectionist with what he wants a player to become like, and what will improve him as a player for the team he is building - one prime example being Shurrle, who was out for months without a game and when he did start to play, he was like another player and started scoring goals (and some very important ones!). Maybe he thought Kalas needed to spend some time training with the first eleven and a better class team, against Vitesse and the Reserves, etc., to harden him mentally.
-
I remember how well Rajkovic did in preseason before we had to sell him, i hoped he stayed because of work permit he couldn't. We have so many defensive options for the future it's shocking! Kalas does have an edge by having his good composure and pace to play at right-back also, but i think that some of the players we will let go as youth 'MIGHT' comeback and bite us.

Terry is gonna retire inthe next two seasons, Ake could bemore of a DMC (think he played there under Rafa?) and is Christensen anygood?
-
Might be hunted down for this, but honestly thought Mikel was the Man of the Match, stepped up defensively and helped contain in front of Terry and Cahill as well as always ready to get a block in when needed, no matter where around the box he seemed to be determined to defend/block. Like another player!

If it's true about Ba leaving, and with Torres open to moving back to Atletico - we can either do a cash-plus swap for Costa and then have Eto'o, Lukaku and Costa or Loan him back out to Everton (if in Europe) and then promote Bamford to third striker. Or another way is to use Shurrle for the third option and loan both Lukaku and Bamford out, with a semi-rotation with Eto'o and Costa for the season.

Why do you support Chelsea?

I think offensively he is was always greater then Bosingwa - not to demeanor his ONE great season - but the experience he had was vital!
