I think that is a poor line up considering Tottenham have just lost 2-1. I would of played both Drogba and Torres together in a 4-4-2.
-
I have a good feeling about this game !

Will we ever have a great striker partnership?
Badboy replied to Justin_3d's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Strike partnerships are a thing of the past because if you have 2 strikers then your opposition can take control of the midfield with the extra man. Man Utd only get away with it because Rooney drops inside if the midfield is being overrun. -
This Man utd side have basically won the league with no midfield whatsoever, that's my problem. I just can't stand seeing them roll teams over from January onwards, they've won 14 Premiership titles in 20 years and its fucking annoying because their reign at the top can't even stopped by billions in investment. I didn't want City to win the league but I'm sick and tired of seeing United lifting that league title at the end of every season barring the odd blip.

Man Utd just keep winning the title by default unless another club has a stormer of a season.

Maradona was an 80's version of Messi but he had something that Messi has not developed to the level of Maradona and that is his vision. Maradona edges it for me because of his ability to open up the game with his vision, Messi probably just edges it when it comes to dribbling.

What did Florentino Perez once say about Makalele ? '''We will not miss Makélelé. His technique is average, he lacks the speed and skill to take the ball past opponents, and ninety percent of his distribution either goes backwards or sideways. He wasn't a header of the ball and he rarely passed the ball more than three metres. Younger players will arrive who will cause Makélelé to be forgotten''. Real Madrid basically went into the dark ages when Makalele left the club. They have consistently been knocked out of the CL in every single season since he left due to defensive lapses.

I'm so glad that Bertrand is a suborn young man. He kept going and he believed that he would be a first team player and today I thought he was supreme ! We have had so many other youngsters who left too early because they did not have the belief !
-
I can understand why he would hate us, we're the only team in Europe that actually play to win against Barca all the other teams just role over.
-
I never leave before the game ends, I feel like the club are ripping me off as it is .
-
The problem we have had is that Makalele was so good that our centre backs had fuck all to worry about. Since Makalele has left the club John Terry's weakness's have been opened up and Cech is having to deal with a lot more shots in central area's. We practically went from having an absolute WORLD CLASS holding player who read the game so well that John terry and Carvalho had to deal with very little through the middle ! We went from that to holding players who are not even in the same bloody Stratosfear when it comes to quality. Imagine having to downgrade from a Aston Martin to a Vauxhall Astra, that's basically what we did. Robben down to Kalou was the same, we just thought we could save money by skimping on transfers and it backfired. Romeu will be going back to Barcelona by the way. The Roman wonders why the other teams have caught us, Spurs are just as good as us now and probably better.

I think the main problem with the English is the fact that they teach their young players that winning comes first and football comes second. The mentality is totally different in main land Europe, in Holland the kids are told to have fun and to try and control the ball in tight spaces with opponents around them and to look up and find a team mate. The young players are told to pass the ball and to move into spaces, in England the kids are told to find the top corner with a driving shot 90% of the time. You'll have the coach screaming things like '' DANNY SHOOT THE BALL WHEN YOU HAVE SPACE '' lol and its not productive because the kid learns to only play through adrenaline like Joey Barton and it does not work.
-
I think his style will be a negative against Barcelona. His style is based on his amazing ability to close down spaces in the middle of the park. The problem I have is Barca play in triangle movements with the option of Dani Alves providing width when the middle gets congested. Barcelona will draw him forward then they'll create their triangle with either Messi or Iniesta spinning into the open space. I don't want to see a goal were Iniesta or Messi is able to turn into an open space in the middle and I think Mikel is probably the best for the Barcelona game other then that in most cases Romeu is probably the best option !

I think people have forgotten what his form was like before he vanished. He's clearly a very talented player though but he did suffer from a lack of form.
-
I really don't want to see Mata on the bench either. The guy has basically played the whole season without a rest, i don't really want Ramires to play either.
-
I'm delighted that we're in the CL semi's AGAIN its a brilliant feeling. We didn't play very well to be honest but we won and that's what counts. Mata was superb !
-
So your coach was saying that you will knock us out the CL it certainly does not look like that way. Drogba and every Chelsea fan was happy to draw Benfica because lets face it dude your not a European powerhouse !
-
Come on Chelsea !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why the hell is Ramires on the right again ?? We need his pace and defensive drive in the middle !
-
I want to see him through the middle. This club just puts any player with pace on the wing no matter what their actual skill set is.

If Milan win on Tuesday, we really need to go for it...
Badboy replied to MagicManMata's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
This whole notion of hoping Milan go through because they are perceived as being weaker is a load of XXXX. Milan are a better team then us and they have much more going forward and we would be the under dogs against them too. I think Milan would be a harder task tactically because they play with a diamond and their attacks are through the middle, its not like we have the wingers to make anything of all the space they will give us making the whole game a bore. -
As long as you were never a supporter of a different team then you are not a glory hunter. We have a lot of fans from all over the world who had no interest in football prior to watching Chelsea and that makes me so proud and they are in my opinion true supporters of the club. Say for example if you supported Porto and then you watch Chelsea and you like Chelsea then you support Chelsea then you are not a true supporter of Chelsea football club in my opinion. The reason why is because if Chelsea had not been a high profile club then Chelsea FC would never have landed on your radar, this is why you'll never find a Cardiff supporter overseas in places like South Korea. You could then say that Chelsea football club would never have landed in the non football supporters radar either but the sheer fact that individuals had no interest in football to begin with solidifies my argument.
-
Yes get in that's what I'm talking about ! We have lost League titles at places like Villa park in the past when United have put daylight between us at the top. I think Roberto has done really well to steady this ship and he has my endorsement for the managerial position ! Mikel played really well today !
-
If Madrid were willing to give us Sahin for Raul and 10 million I would jump at that opportunity. Sahin is a superb playmaker and he can play in a central midfield area.
-
You can't deny his willingness to help the team and I like that ! The thing is I think we all have to realise that the goal scorer in him has gone and he'll probably be on the bench next season especially if Cavani comes in.
-
If Mata had scored it would of been awesome. We got the win though and that's what counts, i thought we were fantastic tactically !!!!!
