Well we try to have one i guess, Abramovich wanted attractice football, and to make more use of / invest more into youth. That the board fails is something else, although their signings were overall good i would say.
It depends, if he will follow Chelsea phylosophy more or less (offensive play/use our talents) then yeh sure, if not there are better options out there for us.
Well lets say he's comming close,we are comparing La Liga's best vs PL best goalie of this season... Courtois is already one of the best goalies around tho, and will prolly be the best in 5 years, it would be a shame to not see him play here at Chelsea then. As for belgium, we can be really happy with him so far imo, we only conceded one so far this campaign and thats solely down to Courtois, with almost any other goalie we wouldve had some more in at least...
Not really, you dont have to build the entire team around him, the exact opposite even... You have to use him as box to box, instead of DLP, that was the difference between the first 30 minutes and the remaining 60 for fellaini. He's awesome in recuperating, getting in the box & score goals, battle opposition midfielders... but dont give him the ball to much when we have possesion, if he comes here it should be as replacement for mikel/2nd striker. But indeed, for us/chelsea we're better of with Witsel fe since we aim for lots of possesion.
Luiz - Terry close 2nd: Luiz-Iva Luiz for distribution, Terry since he's the most solid defender. One thing i pay attention to, distribution wise, is that i prefer a lcb to be leftfooted and rcb to be right footted tho (better for distribution) thats why i would go with Luiz-Iva in games we dominate.
yeh crappy display by midfield & van buyten first half, front 3 werent reached enough + we lost the ball too easely, we are lucky we are winning atm Great goal from De Bruyne tho
For those interested to see some belgian chelsea players in action: Line-up Belgium: Courtois, Alderweireld, Van Buyten, Vermaelen, Vertonghen, Witsel, Dembele, Fellaini, De Bruyne, Hazard & Benteke in an hour vs macedonia lukaku as sub
Mm yeh also remembered an interview last year, where werder was upset http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/oct/08/kevin-de-bruyne-germans-stiff He's just a guy who speaks his mind, and that can be interpreted wrongly if you want to, basicly he just said he misses his family and the warmth there, but the germans took that as him calling them stiff/cold... i mean... Same here rly, i think he just means he's focussing on werder and doesn't follow everything going on @ chelsea, which is just professional in my book, if you play matches in the weekend you dont keep yourself buzy with other teams and focus on your own game.
One thing he didn't do anymore is really play with his defenders like at 1:40 in the 2009-2010 (untill recently really), glad he has to confidence again for that stuff
