  2. I've edited the end of your post because it would of provoked reaction, and we are trying to stay away from it. In future keep your responses on a level with the rest of your post please. @The only place to be
  3. Breaking News: Oscar Pistorius has just sacked his legal team & hired Celtic's as he's heard you can lose both legs and still win
  4. Just announced he is retiring from International football.
  5. Never mind mate, hopefully later in the season we can meet for a beer at one of the games.
  6. Rumors saying they want a DM that can play both roles
  7. Fee agreed for Thomas Vermin to Barcelona.
  8. Well I am sure he knows that, he was just stating he has high hopes for MvG.
  9. In just over a weeks time the Ellisons coach will role into Turf Moor, Burnley with two players on it that have already made their mark on Chelsea history in some way or another and bookmarked their name in a moment in time that we all look back on and think "Yeah, I remember that" There will also be a new chapter, a chapter being a certain Brazilian born striker from Lagarto in Brazil who will be hoping to write his own memories into Chelsea history by bringing goals and elation to every CFC fan around the world. Let's not kid ouselves here, our striker situation has been some what of migraine for some time now, can we of finally found the missing piece of the jigsaw in Diego Costa? Well we don't know, are signs good from pre-season? I think so, I also think he is exactly the type of player that fits well with Mourinho and how he likes the game to be played. Diego Costa will offer many things, but most of all he is aggressive, he's strong, but most off all a proven goals scorer. People may argue that last season was a flash in the pan, and yes it could be, but we are hardly ones to say "No" when the striker situation has become some what of a very grey area at CFC. Now, Jose has seen fit to bring back our legend and all time great Didier Drogba, is this the right move ask myself? Of course we all know what he can do, that moment in Munich "Drogbbbbbaaaaaaa" then "He's done it, the greatest night in the history of Chelsea Football Club" Now for me this move is two things,it's a move that says to me he still has what it takes, I am absolutely certain he can bring a lot to the party, I mean even if it is just to terrorize Arsenal then that's good enough for me. The other thing I think is that Drogba is a figure amongst men, he's a figure that people think "This guy has done this before" he's a figure that speaks without words and one that would still strike enormous amounts of fear into the opposition just because of who he is. I don't see this move as sentimentality for Mourinho or the board one bit, I see it as a clever approach from the board knowing fine well who and what he can do. Didier is what I call a 'something from nothing' striker, that goal against Liverpool here is exactly what I am talking about.. Sometimes we have to adapt to how other teams set out to play against us, with Didier with have another dimension we can go at it with. Now Costa is quite similar in essence, but with Costa I feel he just has that little bit more about him with the ball on the floor and be able to create that way. So in a nutshell with Diego and Didier we have a great blend but also one that bares fruitful in all types of situations when and where it suits. So, how do we solve a problem like Fernando Torres? I don't think you can, I think it's past gone, and this club needs to find anyway to get rid ASAP and in anyway shape or form. Now I am not one of these to berate a player from the stands, I don't believe in that because the players deserve full vocal backing from the terraces no matter what. But all in all we all know what he brings, it's very little, we don't need to kid ourselves any longer. I won't go into depth how we or what is the best route to getting rid because the debate would last forever but, this is where our problem lies without a shadow of doubt for me and one area, if any can possibly cost us this season. Costa is a blank canvas, we can talk of his ability and what we all hope he can do but nothing has been proven at CFC yet. All strikers are risks when they are bought, Christ every new buy is a risk but strikers fall into that spotlight because of what they do. This one of these debates that rages forever because everyone thinks they have that perfect solution, it's a puzzle that's hard to solve for me but one that is made easier by moving out and away from Fernando Torres and replacing him with some what better quality and zest in their game. Now I am going to throw some names in here, names that are familiar and what I think are realistic targets, but in the same breath upping the quality of our attack when they are called on, if Torres was shipped out. Wilfried Bony- Personally love the guy, massive amounts of talent and just an out and out goalscorer. This guy for me would be obtainable at price that wouldn't considered pathetic but also with such a buy like this we upgrade on Torres and Bony coming in gives us an extra attacking edge but he would know he would have to fight for it, but in the same breath he strikes me as a player who wants to fight, and relish the chance to come from Swansea to challenge in mores ways than one. Javier Hernandez- Now when speaking of these players there is a solid argument when people say "Why would they leave their current club to come and warm our bench" Well a new challenge, who knows exactly how Costa will fare here, everyone fighting for that one spot and wanting it as much as the next man waiting in the wings. Hernandez is just an out and out poacher, one I rate highly despite being a nasty little twat but I personally don't mind that, I like an edge in a player as long as they can produce, I like it. Hernandez is that 'play on the shoulder' type player, he's quick in thought and also is unbelievably good at finishing and one that for me could offer huge amounts here.Loic Remy- A player spoke about on the forum quite a lot and I can see why. The Frenchman is another very, very good player with an outstanding ability to finish off even the hardest chances. Now coming from Newcastle I think he would relish the chance to come to somewhere like Chelsea because it offers a fresh challenge and fresh start. Very much like Hernandez I see Remy as on the shoulder of the last man but with great pace as opposed to Hernandez. The lad wouldn't be expensive but would also offer an upgrade on Torres, and that is exactly what we need, that upgrade and someone when we turn to the bench and think "Yes, get him on he can do it"Now there is is enough fat to chew on there for me. The direction is very simple for me, we must ship out Torres and upgrade without a shadow of doubt, and I don't think it would be difficult to upgrade. I haven't mentioned the big star names such as the likes of Edinson Cavani because in my eyes that's a pipe dream, not saying I wouldn't have him here because he is top class but one what that blows a carefully constructed wage structure out of the water and undoes some very excellent work by the board keeping within the constraints of FFP. This season is going to be great, one I can't wait for. I have just secured my two tickets for Burnley on the 18th and will be traveling with my boy in tow to Turf Moor to cheer on the lads, the beer will be flowing and hopefully three points in the bag come 9:50pm on the 18th and the blue army traveling home with smiles and chants all over. Hopefully see some of you at Turf Moor, if not, enjoy the game and....... CAREFREEEEEEE!!! SJ Click here to view the article
  10. Right, I did ask for people to remain on topic and you pull this back up. Let the person and people concerned deal with it please, and you just concentrate on trying to get this back on topic if you can.
  11. See this thread has taken it usual turn. It no sooner settles down and then bang it's back to throwing shit at each other. If the debate doesn't remain on track and civil it's locked, it's the only way.
  12. I think a lot of teams have a lot to work on. We were also without some key players so we can also raise that point. The post was aimed at those who went into meltdown after the weekend, not only that but to show we aren't the only team losing friendly matches and maybe, just maybe ease down with the over reaction.
  13. I'd be happy with this. In fact I am so brain washed into Torres going, so yeah.
  14. Not as tough as me, what is this a toe to toe using feather dusters? Fuck all to do with toughness at all. 'His image has been damaged'......I will add that to the list of silly phrases that has been posted in this thread too.
  15. Some awesome words used towards Frank in here.... 'Judas' and phrases such as 'Damage is done' I can understand people being disappointed but I also think some people really need to grow a set.
  16. Just out, anywhere, just get him out and make way for another option.
  17. PSG have pulled the plug on the Di Maria deal apparently.
  18. He's stamped his legendary status all over this club, left a legacy and has now moved on. Nothing will taint his time here, City or no City. I will be the first on my feet to applaud the bloke if he returns with City to SB. Absolute fucking legend.
