For those who don't rate Mikel...did you see the CL final? That was the best performance I've seen from him and by far our best midfielder on the day. That performance alone should eradicate all the doubt surrounding his lack of play in the "big matches". I'm excited to see how he can further develop under RDM and his 4-2-3-1 formation because it's evident that he cannot perform as well under a 4-3-3.

That's because he's underrated in reality and the majority of fans who write him off don't understand the importance of his role.

Indeed...Sturridge lost his form after he suffered that injury mid-way through the season and did not get consistent playing time under RDM. It also doesn't help when his own fans boo him at home games.
