You got a point there.. Mata always play bad against City I feel.. its like he's too small and when given proper marking on him he cant seem to do much, he needs freedom. I'm no tactician but there must be a way, a certain tactic that could get Mata free, cause when this guy has freedom... Oscar just doesnt fit in the wide position he is given, he should be more of a linking man between the defence and Hazard\Mata\Torres\Ba. I feel like he would work in a more of a middle position, but seems like Mata already took charge of that position. And another thing about Oscar, he showed good fighting spirit and will to win!

I agree.. this is maybe the best thing Rafa has done, making us actually play with a certain system. with RDM it seemed like he would just tell the players "play" and let them do what they want. The best example being the wingers tracking back, I remember oppositions breaking us down with 2-3 passes from the defence because both of the wings were wide open, because our wingers always gathered around in the middle and didnt track back.

Somehow we always play the "less good team" when we are against City, meaning we let them have the control and we try to surprise them with fast counter attacks or somethin, we always lose. And against United its like all of a sudden we are not the same team.

I honestly think that what u stated is exactly what happens. We dont really hear about Falcao anymore.. its like all of a sudden he's not that good, when a couple of monthes ago people said he was the best striker around.

dont know about Iva and Lamps .. to be fair there was no single defender this season who was consistent. Luiz? Cahill looked bad at times, Terry ? Azpi looks good but still cant tell.. only Cole on LB I can say that is solid most of the times. So it wasnt the best of seasons for Iva, but I dont think we should give up on him just yet.. maybe the next manager can bring him back to his best, 29 is still not THAT old. Give him one more season and then if he screws up its time to say goodbye. About Lamps - even though he is not the sharpest tool in the shed anymore, he can contribute to the game just by being on the pitch, giving example for the other players, especially the youngsters.. and its not that he has to play every game, he'll come on sometimes as a subtitute at games we're already winning, or start a few easy games.. we still need him as a LEGEND.
