    I'm Back!

I've only been on the forum for a year, so wasn't around when you joined. Welcome :blue scalf:
  2. I've now been to Wembley 3 times, the Community Shield last August, an England friendly, and the FA Cup Semi-Final. Both of the Chelsea games I thought the atmosphere was OK, I suppose it depends on where you sit. I do think it's up to us as fans to create the atmosphere. As for the price, I don't think they're too bad, it's really what you can afford and what you're prepared to pay to go and watch THE TOP TEAM in England play.
  3. Just bought a book on Amazon called The Best Chelsea Football Chants Ever
  4. Sorry Alex, I copied and pasted the headline which was in capitals from the official website into the topic title. Will try and remember in future I think if we win this (which we will) it puts us on a good footing for the next couple of games. The motivation to do well will be there of course :champions:
  5. There is a section marked Funnies/End Of Season Montage , and it has toothbrush man amongst aother things, remember him
  6. Hope you celebrated in style Carlo, you deserve it :champions:
  7. The only thing i've heard is you're a c***, you're a c*** and you'll always be a c***, you'll always be a c***, Gallas, Gallas
  8. I went to the Community Shield last year and I had a brilliant time, even though I was up in the gods lol. This time i'll definitely try and get something a bit lower down. Can't believe it'll be a year in August since the last one.
  9. Those that will be quick to boo him are probably the same ones that booed the whole team during the Everton match at Stamford Bridge during the last season, not Proper Chels. As pointed out we as fans should remember the contribution Joey made during his time at the club.
  10. COMMUNITY SHIELD 2010 The FA has announced that this year's Community Shield will see double winners Chelsea take on Premier League runners up, Manchester United, at Wembley on Sunday 8 August at 3pm. The annual season curtain raiser is a repeat of last year's Community Shield which saw Chelsea win 4-1 on penalties after a 2-2 draw in normal time to give Carlo Ancelotti a winning start in the Stamford Bridge hotseat. Almost 86,000 fans attended that match with The FA distributing all proceeds to nominated community and charitable projects across the country. Ticket prices for the game haven't changed since 2006 and are priced at £40, £30, £20 and £15. Selling details will follow. source - Chelseafc.com Got this date in my diary, anyone else going?

  12. It's a sad day for Chelsea and an definitely an end of an era. I have been lucky enough to have watched Joe Cole and Michael Ballack in action over the last year. It's unfortunate that they're leaving, I have witnessed on so many occasions the respecct they have commanded on the pitch and know that they will be missed by their team mates and us the fans. Would like to wish them the best of luck for the future.
  13. The tune you're referring to is La Donna e Mobile from Rigoletto by Verdi Found these on fanchants.com, I think the first one must relate to when he bought the club from Ken Bates Abramovich, Abramovich buying all the men, Abramovich, Abramovich showing off to Ken, Steals from the poor, Gives to the rich, Abramovich, Abramovich, Abramovich... Apparently sung to the tune of Robin Hood (riding through the glen) (To the tune of Kalinka, Russian folk song) Abramo, Abramo, Roman Abramovich, He came to the Chelsea, And now we're f***ing rich... Song lyrics for Delia Smith (sung apparently to Norwich fans during the 04/05 season) - again to the tune of La Donna e Mobile We've got Abramovich, You've got a drunken bitch, We've got Abramovich, You've got a drunken bitch...
  14. Yes it sure is, and as it's on a Friday makes it tempting.
  15. Imagine he'll get some stick. At least he didn't injure himself seriously though

  17. Not good news, hope he makes a speedy recovery. Good on him to make the decision not to go to the world cup, it shows that he doesn't want to antagonise his injury further.
  18. The way I look at is, think about what happened with Essien during the ACON and the fact he hasn't played for Chelsea since then, that's my worry with Drogs or any Chelsea player that gets injured. OK, it depends on the injury, and i'd rather the player concerned get's the proper treatment and rest to make sure before returning to training.
  19. Gutted for hime. My worry is I hope that the powers that be at the Ivory Coast don't rush him back to play if he's not ready. The consequences could be dire for Chelsea.
  20. Yes it does include the Youth, it's in the section marked bonus. Got it in the post this morning and have just tried to sit back and watch it in between doing chores lol. Will make a date to sit down and watch it properly with no interruptions!!
  21. Welcome to TalkChelsea :blue scalf:
  22. What next for Rafa I wonder, what about Inter now that Jose is with Real Madrid?
  23. Yes, I have ordered it, didn't first of all, thought i'd get just the Season Review initially, then decided to order the FA Cup Final as I haven't got it recorded.
  24. Just got an email from Play.com to say my order has been sent, can't wait to get it
