  1. I thought it was Michael Emenalo that took over from Ray?
  2. If Guus were to come back, it would make sense to appoint him as Carlo's no. 2. What has his present number 2 done since Rays departure? Not really heard much about him.
  3. Carlo was hired I believe because of his credentials as both a player and a manger. He secured the Champions League trophy with AC Milan twice and what I think a lot of people seem to forget is that he secured The Double in his first season with us, a magnificent achievement. Sacking Carlo is not the answer, however Roman will ultimately have the final say. He’s obviously still got faith in Carlo, otherwise he would have sacked him after losing to Arsenal in December. Sacking him now would cause a great disharmony not only amongst the players but the whole of the club. I do think that some of the players need to buck their ideas up and actually show that they still want to play for us. Who knows what the future will bring, all I say is to wait until the end of the season before we make any rash decisions which we might later regret.
  4. Don't really like these internationals, such a risk to our players getting injured. Read that Rooney would have been the only other possible choice to be captain. At least Capello went for the right one. Well done Frank, just don't get into any nasty tackles.
  5. Yeah remember that guy running across the pitch, I think he almost got to the away end, by that time the steward had got his hands on him. Huge cheers from us in the MHL
  6. They're like our kid brother aren't they? Need a different Chelsea to turn up to the one that turned up yesterday most definitely. My friend who's a Fulham supporter reckons that Torres will score.
  7. Such a big hype for this game, namely our recent signing of Torres and the huge expectations that we had of him, to score against his former club. I think it will take him a little time, just like it has with Ramires for him to fit in with the team. Then there is the general loathing of the oposition and the fact that we were seeking revenge for our meeting with them in November, just like we were seeking revenge against Sunderland last week. I do think it's a pity that we didn't take advantage of the Mancs losing yesterday and Arsenal drawing with Newcastle. I did feel a sense of De ja vu. I think our performance today left a lot to be desired, so having Torres (and Luiz when he did come on), shouldn't have made much difference as I think we had virtually the same team as we had against Sunderland. I think the atmosphere was good at the start, which was to be expected imo. Chant of the match has to be 'you burned your own shirts, you burned your own shi-i-irts, you fucking idiots, you burned your own shirts'. Only one other thing to say and that is to move on, I know it'll be hard, but the only way is forward.
  8. Leaving earlier than usual tomorrow as there are engineering works between Wimbledon and Putney Bridge on the tube . More time to have a drink before the game
  9. They'll say what they like about Torres, Torres He's now a blue, no longer a red, Torres, Torres He'll score for us, maybe a few He'll not return to Liverpool Fernando Torres, Chelseas new number 9
  10. We had one thing on our minds last night and that was revenge for beating us 3-0 back in November at the Bridge and we did it in spectacular fashion. We did have some nervous moments I thought, but overall it was a pretty solid performance.
  11. This will be the first game I think that Joe Cole will have played against us since he left, as he didn't play when we played them at Anfield. Expecting that he'll get a lot of stick from us when he comes on to the pitch.
  12. I think when Turnbull has been in goal he looks like a rabbit caught in the headlights. We definitely need a good backup for Cech.
  13. Glad it's a home tie, but would have liked someone like Torquay. Still have to beat Everton first.
  14. I thought the support by us was brilliant. Chant of the match, so many and so many that included Handball in them Looking forward to the replay, not gonna be easy, butI hope that we give as good as we can get.
  15. If Roman is desperate to sign him he'd better hurry up as the window closes 11 pm on Monday
  16. Yep I think if the replay ends in a draw, it then goes to extra time and if still level after extra time, penalties. Didn't happen to us at all last season of course. :champions:
  17. I can see why we want to buy him, because he's an experienced player, however he's been prone to injuries and quite frankly 40 or 45 million i've seen quoted is really not worth it for a player that may get injured (look at Benayoun complete waste). In a few years time he will be reaching the age of messrs Terry, Lampard etc..and will mostly probably be past his best by then if he isn't already.
  18. Definitely need to win if we want to stay in the competition. Would hope the players will consider it important as it's the greatest domestic competition in the footballing calendar. Need the Chelsea of the last couple of games to turn up. I think Everton will make it difficult for us and may 'park the bus'. Should be a cracking atmosphere anyway, looking forward to it. :blue scalf:
  19. I have bet on football and the horses in the past. I did win about £70 once backing the favourite. Wish i'd placed a bet on Monday as i'd correctly guessed the final score on here.
  20. MOTM has to be Petr Cech, pure class.
