Pjanic is faster and more mobile and that is fundamental diffrence. I think he is better defender than Cesc. Fundamentally he is better at keeping the ball under pressure which is what all is about. But the most improtant thing is that the whole rumour mill is build on that Conte wants Pjanic, so he knows what Pjanic is about.

Dunno but Guus is a fan of clearing the air as soon as possible so Roman could inform staff (which is about 600 people on full-time job) and players. (Jake Clarke-Salter) - Jay Dasilva Ruben Loftus-Cheek - Charlie Colkett Musonda - Boga Traore - Solanke Only academy players. Generally I think everyone of them will be good player. Dasilva, Boga and Musonda are top talents in my opinion with the rest slightly behind but generally all have massive potential. I don't know how they want to do this but they should make one player a year a permanent member of the squad without this whole youth tag on the face. 5 out 10 should be a Chelsea senior player in the future I think. I really do.

Thibaut in his pomp is magnificent. His collection of the ball is excellent, major saves at crucial moments, remember that thanks to him Atletico beat Real after 15 years and started the trend that lasts to date. He generally adds calmness and stability to the team. Even that distrubition as a problem is nowhere to be seen. He seems to need a fresh start. As is Matic as is Hazard. I won't give up on them as I know how good they can be. Even I'm hot and cold on Oscar as from one side I think he has absolutely no right to be here next season after 4 years of patchy form but then again I think maybe this Antonio Conte is able to stabilize him as a player. Thibaut stays.

I think Cech and Courtois are worth each other. Don't tell me that Cech's distrubution is better because I watched +400 games of his and I know it really isn't because I was shouting in front of my monitor/TV screen at Cech's distrubtion, really it was something that was getting me mad for so long. Hmm at the moment maybe it is better because Thibaut is dropping in every aspect but I wasn't reading that his play from the back was a major problem back in Atletico days. Generally speaking, Courtois regressed this season and he is at the moment just your typical good goalkeeper but next season is crucial anyway. We know how brilliant he may be and nothing changes the fact that he was Ballon D'Or nominee as a goalkeeper while not doing fancy moves ala Neuer. Those sighs towards Cech should stop as Cech was a liability in 2007 and 2008 but someone want to forget that and because he isn't that good now anyway.

What a weird substitiutions. Traore was giving his pace and effort even when he was a bit in the shadow in offense but manager took him off and pressing fell off completely. On top of that Mikel and Matic who hardly cooperates but are good in disrupting each other. And then typical inability to execute a simple bit of footballing action, first touch maybe, or pass or whatever, in the last 10-15 minutes (isn't that a trademark or Chelsea since about 2011 ?). Almost lost points to this lot, unheard of. It looks like this improvement lives on the edge, because there are spells when Chelsea look clueless, without a shape and idea. Funny thing about Conte and that he changes his formation according to players - we don't know what players he will have ! I can see 2 players bought in that completely changes the approach. So what he will do, what he wants ? Sure, 1 young, fast centre-back who can play with the ball, 1 technical b2b midfielder, 1 creative midfielder who is stable and can survive under pressure and doesn't give the ball away and a striker with the ability to play in a small space and is good with back to goal. That's the ultimate list that is valid for a long time.
