If Van Gaal finishes outside the top 4 it speaks for itself really, Ferguson is one of the Greats for a reason. Giving all the credit to RVP is a very simplistic way of looking at the game.

Ferguson really was one of the greats to win the title with that squad, it's easy to point at RVP.. but that team hasn't exactly had a dramatic shake up since he left.

Wrong. His 'personal' life is private, that.. has nothing to do with us. Football decisions however are not, we 'the fans' created the concept itself and have every right to judge a person making decisions in the context of the football domain.

^ City players were asked NOT to smile, that pic of Lamps won't be used for Sky etc, his own smugness wasted the film. He was also seen grinning like a cheshire cat when he was out with Bleakley in manchester, and in training; knowing cameras were on him. It's not that I was under any illusion players only cared about money and nothing beyond that. No, but when a player reaches a certain status at a club, you'd think they'd protect that legacy for all it's worth.
