    Lmao, interesting question.. London is in between a Rolls Royce and an Aston Martin, England 'overall' however is a Ford Mondeo, Liverpool is a wheel barrow.

    Hit the nail on the head, Fly Emirates is a more 'premium' brand. Aesthetically I've always loved the way Pirelli looks on Inter Milan's shirts, it's the perfect fit.

    Styles caught feelings, must be a turk. Actually, there are Newcastle fans who refuse to buy the Wonka shirts, due to how tacky it looks and the ethics of the business itself, loan sharks etc. The fact Chelsea fans on here and everywhere have actually praised a corporation like Samsung for how they 'look' on the shirt, says it all really. If it wasn't something that goes through your mind, those posts wouldn't exist.

    The aesthetics of a shirt that costs £50 is important to some fans, so yes.. it's a valid discussion. Never understood that part of peoples psyche on forums when they see a discussion, and they feel they have to declare in an obnoxious way that they "Don't Care", just don't post then.

    I remember when Hazard asked for the number 10 during the 'off-season' and the same guy got mad because people were discussing shirt numbers. Never understood why people BURST into threads and start saying things like "Who cares".. if you don't care, don't post.

    It's not personal, I'm against any other 'country' advertising itself on an English club's shirt so blatantly. However, a concession could be made for UAE, since it's very much 'in trend' right now, if countries were products Dubai would be a Ferrari and Turkey would be a Nissan Sunny.

    Man-City keep getting tough groups, so this change would suit them and make it easier, less competitive.

    Fly Emirates is actually quite classy, obviously when you look at it you think of that particular part of the middle east.. but it's not as BLATANT and vulgar as 'TURKISH' airlines.

    It's not just about games, it's about fans wanting to own what the players wear. If you buy the shirt with 'Sin City 2' on it, but next week it's..'Big Moma's House 3' then your £50 purchase is now out of date. Even if they sold sponsorless shirts, you have the same problem.

    That's fucking awful, Fifa would forever be out of date.. Fifa 15 gets released and our shirt would already be expired. Not to mention the fact it's small-time and we'd have shitty rom coms and crappy mainstream movies on there.

    Do you not think I thought of that before posting?, really?.. Fly Emirates is actually quite nondescript 'in comparison', it's not exactly 'Dubai airline', whereas just plain 'TURKEY' IS VERY OBVIOUS. Dubai is also 'in' right now, and that sponsor in particular looks good on our shirts. Boring, no-glamorous brand. The only reason I'm concerned is that The Daily Mail have been spot on with Chelsea stuff, they broke the Fabregas deal before anyone else.

    "We're going to the Turkish airline arena next week", "Hugh?, are Chelsea a turkish club?", "they must have some history with the country or something".. Hate the fact it has an another country in the brand name, this is an English club.. having the word 'Turkey' and a possible 'Turkey stadium' in the future is just distasteful. It's not like Audi or someone is going to have 'Germany Audi' or 'Sony China'

    No it wouldn't, and we're having no problems with FFP (what Jose said in the press recently is mind games, heaps the pressure on United). Mourinho is the second highest paid manager in world football, we are the status quo. You have no argument for United being a 'step up', other than their history.. the same arguments Liverpool fans have.

    Chelsea?' main and 'only' point was that he'd want a new challenge, which makes no sense as he'd only be repeating the same domestic trophies he's won here. Mourinho earns almost 1.5m more than Van Gaal, and it's not like Roman would be unable to compete with United if they offered him more. So yes, there is no 'money element'. I personally don't think he'd want to be known as a judas and ruin a BIG part of his legacy (which is Chelsea), he always showed the club and fans respect when he was at Inter & Real. Jose is practically synonymous with the club now, it would almost be like Ferguson coming here. - Chelsea was a step up from Porto - Inter was a new challenge in a different country - Real was a step-up from inter - United would be a step down..

    Imagine what happens when we get a new stadium 'The Turkish Airline Arena', people are going to think we're a Turkish club, or have some sort of roots with the country.

    He doesn't have a point. This idea that Mourinho wanted the United job was fiction to start with, it was Ferguson he had admiration for not United.

    And that's exactly what I meant.. 5 years from now, or ANY TIME, beyond this point. As I already clarified with the poster above. All those points are applicable to any point in time from now.

    Non-glamorous location, boring airliner (dubai is the hot spot right now not turkey) and an obtrusive name. Samsung is only one word and they don't add an ugly logo with the text. Hopefully there are intelligent people at the club who understand the shirt needs to look good and be associated with desirable brands.

    ^ Smfh, I felt like smashing my head against a wall when I read this, I've been here since 2009 and that's the stupidest post I've ever seen and that includes bushman's material. Mourinho going to United now wouldn't make any sense on any level whatsoever, literally no chance of it happening. . A "new challenge" is going to a different league! (germany, france etc), not up north to win the same trophies he's won here . There is no connection/affection or.. anything! in regards to Jose and United, he idolised Ferguson and they had a friendship. It's all about red nose, not the club he was managing. Mourinho was one of a select few people who knew Ferguson was retiring before it was announced. . History - the idea that he would go there because it's United is laughable, on that basis I suppose he's off to Liverpool then . Legacy - He's had two stints here now, he's Chelsea through and through, he knows how passionate and tribalistic football fans get and wouldn't want to destroy his legacy. . Money - Mourinho is the 2nd highest paid manager in club football, because of 'Chelsea'.. United can't compete and won't.
