It's about perspectives, there is indeed a demographic (described above) who will now know Lampard as 'former City player'. Most media outlets (TV etc) only use the last former club to describe players, NYC will milk it for all it's worth in the US, they don't have to use dirty words like 'Chelsea' now.
-
Nope?, what does that even mean, 'you' represent nobody, remember that.
-
Not necessarily NYC fans who will google it, but 'new' American football fans in general who will look at things on face value. 'Frank Lampard, former Manchester City player' that's his identity now to the NYC PR team. Not every kid gives enough of a shit to look up peoples life story, and the NYC marketing depart know that.
-
Just had a look on City's website at his bio, they mainly focus on him being an 'England player'.. using the pic of him in an england shirt etc. I'd imagine the marketing men at NYC are going to use this to describe him as 'Former Manchester City player, Frank Lampard'. It chips away at their brand to even use the word 'Chelsea'. Millions of american kids getting into soccer will know Lampard as 'The Former Man-City player'.

Rivals are rivals, simple as that really.. City are DIRECTLY competing for the same things we are. Very different from Rio joining QPR for example, or Ash rejecting Liverpool and moving to italy out of respect.
-
Who would you drop for Ramsey?, Matic..Fabregas..
-
New Monaco third kit.. Lmao, considering the colours of their home shirt, just think how pointless this is. Still nice though..
-
Indeed, Mourinho 'would' have been "dead to me" if he had gone to United, I stand by that 'hypothetical/taken out of context' comment. Unfortunately though, this is reality. I just hope 'proper chels' JT never imitates how Fraud-Lampard has conducted himself since leaving.
-
Monaco FC's training base.. Incredible.
-
"I love you all" LMAO, Calling him a judas is debatable, but calling him a fraud certainly isn't.
-
I'll just leave this here.. ^ Drogba wrote this at cobham before he left, class act.
-
Because TOPTB is superior to us mere mortals.
-
No reason why he couldn't have trained with QPR unofficially, uncle Harry will have given it the go-ahead. Beckham did the same with Arsenal, and it's not as if Frank is gonna get enough games to justify signing a player contract anyway. If he wanted to be 'closer to his family', don't fucking move to AMERICA in the first place.
-
Those people have just stuck their heads in the sand and took the happy road, and fair play to them. There is a lot of politics on this forum, certain people will back their 'e-friends' and gang up on certain people. A lot of misinformation, taking things out of context, personal agendas etc.

Hope so, unless we start playing with a high line, I can't see why he won't be able to feature in the side. +With the way it's going with the HG quota, we might need him. Unlike Lamps, he won't leave a bad taste in our mouths, always got the impression he has the fans and his legacy in the back of his mind.
-
The only scare we've had with Terry was when him and his agent used certain tactics to get him a bumper contract. He was 28 years old then, he could have given 7 years to another club, 'arguably' enough to be a legend elsewhere. He's got too much invested in being Chelsea 'through and through' now, both on a personal and economic level to throw it all away.
-
“Where I would go after that it certainly wouldn’t be in England. I couldn’t do that to Chelsea or the fans. That’s just not me." - John Terry Classy, proper chels.
-
Defense is still their achilles heel, remains to be seen how Mangala adapts, but still.. Out of that backline 'including keepers', only Kompany would break into our side.
-
Preach!, and kudos on the username.

Ah.. I see, so TOPTB posting childish gifs alluding to the notion that I'm going 'full retard', isn't "wrong".. By doing that, he changed the tone of the thread, 'before that too'. I rarely go out to attack someone, I've been called all types of things in this thread and resisted the temptation to respond in the same manner.
-
The news broke a while ago now, there are no knee jerks going on here. My posts haven't been erratic, they've been well reasoned. When bad things happen in relation with a club, certain fans will delude themselfs into taking the 'happy road'. It stems from not having control, Arsenal fans have done the same to a lesser degree.
-
'Knee Jerk' isn't really appropriate either, since I've had PLENTY of time to consider (and carefully articulate) why Lampard is in the wrong here.
-
TOPTB is turning TC into Fox news, what else do you wanna take out of context?, love how mad I'm making him, bitter cunt.
-
He capitalised off / and increased his stature in the market by positioning himself alongside JT as 'proper Chels®' and marketed himself as that to the fans. He's been found out as a fraud, this guy doesn't have the club (bigger than the board) in mind like Drogba & Ash, he has no affinity with Cheslea. We turned a blind eye when he sabotaged AVB, but this is the final straw.
