  1. I've rewatched the game a few times.. Napoli should have won 4-1, in theory 4-0.. if it hadn't been for the Aronica blunder which lead to City's goal. It was THAT conclusive a victory.
  2. Since that night in Naples, David Silva, Yaya Toure, Aguero, Hart & Kompany have been waking up in cold sweats. What makes you think 'this' Chelsea side will fare better?
  3. Tbf to AVB, Modric was the target, in the final hours of the window Daniel Levy's stance lead to an uninspired panic buy, that is all.
  4. The home shirt should always have the original badge, unless it's to commemorate something i.e centenary, CL Winners etc
  5. No, Adidas have their own 'branded' colour palettes though, so if I was to hazard a guess, I'd say blue is more commercially viable than royal blue.
  6. For the most part, body language is subconscious though, which is why it 'can' be insightful. Having said that.. yes, I'd rather hear from an expert than a mere pundit. In the days after Jose' was sacked as Chelsea boss. ITV dedicated an entire show to the analysis of his body language from press conferences & match days. Involving actual experts/professors, it was an intellectually stimulating programme.. shame I can't find it anywhere online.
  7. It's an 'evolution' of yellow though. Just like the lighter blue shirts we have now, are an evolution of the previous royal blue kits.
  8. Man-City players still receiving post traumatic stress therapy after their visit to Napoli..
  9. On a serious note, any non-embarrassing result would be acceptable against a side of this caliber. Napoli were my outside favourites to win the thing, never mind go out at this stage, especially to 'this' Chelsea side. Miracle permitting..
  10. Since the centenary kit, I've been pining for Gold to return. Blue + Gold = Perfection.
  11. Yea, compatibility is an issue, the only non-excellent player I have jumped from 'fair' to 'good' this season. So the values are not permanent if you play them often enough.
  12. The worst part, is that you just know this 'panic buy' will be part of the furniture here for a good 2-3 seasons now. When we failed with Modric in the final hours, Josh McEachran's stock should have risen. Instead of splurging £12m on an average 29 year old box to box liverpool reject.
  13. In theory you should be a title challenger, if it wasn't for your inconsistency.
  14. So it turns out Desailly was a cunt then, who knew.
  15. I've already posted this video a dozen times before on this forum.. Classic Brooker.
  16. ^ At 210,000 pw, that pretty much comes with the territory.
  17. Lmao, how is that 'normal' exactly?.. players actively not supporting your methods..
  18. ^ Fans were giving them all types of stuff as gifts, god knows why, considering the amount they earn.
  19. An incredibly simplistic reply, considering the nature of my post, and the fact I’ve previously brushed on 'brand Mourinho' and his media strategy in a similar thread. So in that sense I've covered all dimensions of this subject. At 49 years old, Jose’ has already covered the top 3 leagues in European football, he will be assessing his options as to where he finally settles down for an extended period, his age and general managerial options all point to that. If he ends up at Spurs for a decade, Chelsea fans enter a nightmare world.

  21. If Mourinho ever decides to settle down, which he has been hinting at. We simply cannot afford to miss out on him, Chelsea fans will enter a nightmare world if he ends up at white hart lane for the best part of a decade. Managers like Jose’ come along once in a lifetime, reinstating him would be a lot more cost effective than replacing the entire squad. Due to the FFP, that would be impossible anyway. So whether we like it or not, the exodus of the ‘big egos’ will be anything but swift.
  22. This would be the tipping point for me, couldn’t bare to see Spurs sign such a quality player, knowing we have done NOTHING to intercept the deal. Maybe Roman has lost interest, his recent appearances at cobham a final goodbye, just making sure (convincing himself) he's done with it all, the novelty finally wearing off. End times.
