Hazard is one of the most sought after players in world football, he will most likely cost more than Mata. What on earth makes you think he would be merely 'rotating' with Sturridge?. Mata won't become a permanent number 10 just to accommodate Hazard, it simply won’t happen. Hazard’s arrival would see Sturridge become the ‘Anelka’ of Chelsea. The odd game here and there, certainly not a first team player in AVB’s ‘signature’ 4-3-3.

I don't see how a reserve fixture would have been such a DEMANDING workout, that he's unable to even sit on the bench and enjoy 20 minutes or so. Although, yes.. why was he playing in it?, does AVB plan on giving him a cameo role against QPR (unlikely).
