If ever a club knew how to royally fuck up its Newcastle. The term "shit for brains" was clearly penned with them in mind. Shearer would be great, he's every bit as charismatic as Grant - and Gazza, the resident tourette, could do the post match interviews- fantastic stuff.

Agree with Ollie him and Duff were awesome to start with, mustve frightened defences shitless to have them running at them. But once he'd had an injury he turned into a right pussy and never got back what he had. In flashes yeah, but he was never consistently that good again. He could trip over a blade of grass and be out for weeks. And sulk? FFS he was like a petulant child, permanently needed a good kick up the arse imo. Dont even get me started on his dad. You'd think Robben was a 3 year old unable to make his own decisions the way his dad carries on. We did the right deal at the right time, their physio's bench is welcome.

I think Utd could definitely be on the cards in the future but Fergie's going nowhere atm. Liverpool in the summer? Possibilty if AC don't snap him up. Of course he owes us nothing but he does owe Roman a bloody good shafting. Is that his style? You bet your arse it is. It'd break a few hearts though, mine included.

Standing ovation for that man. Last bit sums it up perfectly. What he actually said - in front of the watching world I might add - when asked how he felt about closing the gap on Arsenal with them dropping points, was "Uhh?" Profound eh?
-
Personally I hope they get knocked out as quick as possible so they can get their arses back. Why is anyone bothered anyway? no-one gives a shit when its England - and the players dont even miss games for that.
-
Refs are consistent.............they make consistently shit decisions when it comes to Chelsea.
-
Its looking less and less likely he'll get the chance to score tbh, Anelka looked head and shoulders better than him today even in the short time he had and not yet having actually trained with us.
-
Avram's interview was excruciating to watch. I didnt know whether to piss myself laughing or cry tbh. Does "uhhh?" really pass for a vocabulary these days?
-
Yeah we're looking a lot better atm even with the amount of first choice players out for one reason or other. Can't agree there's any hope of the title though, not that we're out of it mathematically, more that I can't see anyone living with Utd this season - and I'd have said that before todays result as well, so its not just a reaction statement.
-
Belletti's class, such a good signing.
-
Easy tiger. So he's not perfect........yet. I still don't think its done with intent.
-
How did you know I had Robben in mind? I disagree he goes in to hurt players, I dont think thats the case at all. He goes in hard, but he goes for the ball. To an extent he needs to work on cleaning up his tackles, but not to the point where he starts over-thinking it.
-
Dead right. Alex is doing exactly what we would want him to do in this situation. JT can have the luxury of recovering fully from injury this season before he comes back.
-
Absolutely. He was just aerodynamically challenged.
-
Course he aint a monster, he's committed. Ok he goes in hard but half his cards are a bloody joke anyway. Mikel's been class this season imo and for those prepared to have a go at him, would you rather have a player like Mikel - a little over-zealous but 100% committed or some pussy, shying away from every tackle, no bottle but a great disciplinary record?
-
I was gonna say Drogba mustve had that op as well.
-
Really happy to hear that. Maybe its just words, who knows? But he's saying it about the club I love and thats all that matters. Just hope he's not hit with the curse of the Chelsea strikers.
-
Might take a bit longer than just Saturday to earn £15m but I think its a really good deal for us, certainly a better deal than most clubs could hope for in the January window - he's not even cup tied - it just sounds better and better.
-
How have they taken the piss? Anelka's been in good form for them, he was on a fairly lengthy contract I think and without a doubt they'll be buggered without him, so of course they wanted a good price for him. We snapped him up quick, leaving them with the unenviable task of finding a replacement, plus they knew we were pretty keen to sign him, so that's also reflected in the price tag. All things considered I think we got him for a fairly reasonable price in the end and Im optimistic this could very well turn into the best bit of transfer business we've done in a while.
-
Have to say Im well happy with this. He's already settled in the prem, in good goalscoring form and all things considered the price wasnt so bad in the end. Never really been one of favourite players attitude-wise but he's a Chelsea man now so I'm loving him already.

Funny how out of the whole interview, thats the one line that really stands out. I've always thought there was something missing from Cole's game at Chelsea and maybe that's the sentence that sums it up. Not saying he hasn't done a decent enough job, but for me, his heart's not really in it.

Chelsea Cheer As Cech Makes Speedy Recovery

It wasnt really psychological, it was physical - he simply wasnt fit to play and shouldnt have been risked. -

From a player wanting regular first team football at a top four club? I dont think so. -

Having a good game hardly makes him a legend. His game's come on a lot but he's still prone to sloppiness and is nowhere near consistent enough for me. -

Essien hasn't had the same impact so far this season, whether thats a physical or psychological thing who knows? Mikel, as kamikazee like as he is at times (and I actually think he's calmed it down a bit) is turning into a very important player for us, he was really impressive before he was carded. I had a feeling Ballack would come through for us this season and the signs are good so far, he really seems to have turned his game around........in response to the doubters or Jose's departure?
