  1. God forbid I should sound like I'm defending Rio but slapping a player round the head is hardly the same thing as shagging his missus is it? lol Personally I couldn't care less who gets it. Oh hang on thats a big fat lie because I don't think I could even watch them if Gerrard was captain. Obviously Capello's hardly spoilt for choice if he picks it on morals, I just think resigning it would do JT more good than harm now.
  2. And just when you thought it couldnt get any worse, the classless cunts at Citeh come out with 'Team Bridge' t-shirts, lol.
  3. I actually think he'd come out of this whole sorry mess a lot better if he resigned his England captaincy. Trust me, this isn't the sort of story that'll blow over in a week. He's pissed off NOTW and they won't let it go, they could get months out of picking his every move to shreds now and it just isn't worth the aggravation. If he stays in the England set-up but resigns the captaincy it'll look as if he's doing the right thing for both his country and team-mates and in terms of the hassle it'll save him, i.e. even more speculation in the press, it has to be a sacrifice worth making. Chelsea > ENGLAND.
  4. Lol, and we're supposed to defend his behaviour how exactly? Not only did he cheat on his wife - the mother of his children - which is bad enough, but he chose to shit on a 'friend' at the same time then tried to use his position to stop it from getting out, which incidentally was what ended up giving it away. How and more to the point why would anyone defend behaviour like that? He fucked up big time (and not for the first time) and he'll have to take the consequences for that....unfortunately so will Chelsea and so will we.
  5. You are fucking kidding, right? Either that or you're 12 years old.
  6. You honestly think this is a witch hunt? Behave. If Terry wasn't supplying the press with so much material to go on, they wouldn't be able to report it. He needs to stop acting the twat and concentrate on his career - he can do what he likes when he retires.
  7. You know what gets me? I love Chelsea, always have and always will but that doesn't mean I can't accept when a player of ours is out of order. And yet there's so many blue-tinted specs round here, it seems our players are are forgiven just about anything. What sort of argument is 'he can put his dick where he likes'? Get real. He's not only an extremely high profile professional footballer, he's the Chelsea AND England captain ffs. The fact that he's there to be shot down comes with the territory and he's actually giving every scum journo and every scum opposition the bloody ammunition to do it with. Haven't any of you sussed it yet? It isnt just JT that gets shot at - its us and its our bloody club!
  8. So bad publicity has no bearing on his captaincy at all? Cant see Capello sharing that opinion somehow.
  9. I'm not interested in them, this is our current captain and he's behaving like a complete cock.
  10. I remember slating Lampard over the way he dragged out his contract negotiations until he got an obscene amount of money. But whilst I still think his and JT's contracts have a lot to answer for, I have nothing but the upmost respect for the way Lampard's repaid the club's faith since. Not only did he make damn sure he earnt his elevated wage, Lampard's more or less gone quietly about his business ever since and given no-one any more reason to criticise him other than the usual green-eyed bullshit. It's just a shame his captain hasn't taken his example.
  11. I'm beginning to think John Terry is either very naive or just incredibly fucking stupid. Of course our opposition would say he's just a complete c*** but then he seems to be giving them enough ammunition to blow him away on a monthly basis lately. I've said the same about Ashley Cole and Lampard when they were both caught at it - wankers - and John Terry's no different. If anything its a lot worse because its a mates missus. But that's just a personal opinion. Seriously though wtf is JT up to? After a summer where his integrity was questionable to say the least, wouldn't he have been better served just getting his head down and getting on with his career? Instead he's got himself involved in one thing after another and it's all brought negative publicity his way. Is this really the way a player who's captain of club and country should conduct himself? Maybe he's just too complacent about his position these days but I can't see Capello seeing it that way somehow.
  12. Pity? Are you kidding? Most lads I know would give their right arm to have the opportunity he had and he blew it TWICE. The man had a choice - he chose self gratification ahead of his career, doesn't deserve pity.
  13. And looking at the what happened when Citeh came into money you can see why people hated us - to an extent. My point is, our starting position when we got the money was poles apart from Citeh's and they're actually demonstrating it takes more than just a couple of hundred million to make a club successful. Oh,and Robinho's bored already and done the off, lol.
  14. All that happened last night was that Citeh learnt it takes more than just money to be successful. They might have thought they were the 'new Chelsea' but they need to remember they were round about mid-table obscurity when their windfall came. We were already establishing ourselves in the Champions League and the finances were all we lacked to compete realistically for the title. Well, Citeh have had the money for what? A year and a half now? And they won't even have a Mickey Mouse cup to show for it at the end of the season. As for us, we look full of confidence, completely convincing and right now both the Premier League and FA Cup are well within our own control - pretty bloody scary to feel this optimistic though, lol.
  15. Total prick. Vindicates our decision to get rid completely.
  16. Well happy with that. I have to say I'm really impressed with how we're playing again. Nothing flash, just really solid and plenty of confidence going forward. We definitely merit our place at the top of the table right now.
  17. Ok off topic for a minute - where did the 'legend' thing come from is it new or have I just missed it before?
  18. It's still something we need to do slowly over a period of time and in all honesty, as much as I think players like Kalou and Deco are a waste of space (and money) most of the time, I'm still not sure we'd leave ouselves enough depth, especially when you're suggesting we offload Ballack, Ferreira and Belletti as well. Maybe I'm just cautious because of the ban. On Belletti though - seeing as he's so match rusty most of the time, I think he does a brilliant job for us whenever he's called in. Good squad player.
  19. That'll do us. Well excited about the possibility of retaining it this year. :blue scalf:
  20. The trouble with Wenger is he has one eye on a title he isn't gonna win anyway.
  21. So with the title race as tight as it is you honestly think now's the right time to bring young, inexperienced players in? Of course we need to start bringing them through but shouldn't that be done gradually and through choice rather than end up in a position where we're having to throw a few of them out there together because we've allowed ourselves into a position where there's no strength in depth to our squad?
  22. Good to see Arsenal excel themselves in the cup today, lol.
  23. Bearing in mind we're not signing anyone before we get the restraining order in place, I wouldn't have thought we were in a position to offload anyone, irrespective of who it is. It only takes a few injuries and we'd be fucked. You're right, in the past Anelka hasn't hesitated to walk away from clubs but if Chelsea take the piss after the contribution he's made for us, then I really wouldn't blame him on this occasion.
  24. Chelsea made a rod for their own backs a long time ago. As far as I'm concerned, whilst it makes sense to address this with any new signings and not agree stupid contracts to start with, they won't (and shouldn't try to) get established players to accept deals that in no way reflect their worth in comparison to team-mates who earn silly money. If they're prepared to risk losing players like Joe Cole and Nicolas Anelka, particularly when a ban will mean we have no hope in hell of replacing them, then the club are bigger dicks than I thought.
