lol, ok I'll follow your example and go for a derisive overtone instead. I hadn't realised I was responsible for selecting our next manager but since you ask, firstly I think Roman got rid of a really good manager in Ranieri to start with. But if I stick with my theory of bringing in someone younger it'd be Guardiola.
-
Good to see Sammy the Seal didn't let us down yesterday. Dread to think what'll happen when we play against a good side.
-
Sorry did I miss something? Is somebody else responsible for him losing the armband? If he's going through a hard time in his career it's because he didn't value it enough to keep his private life away from the pitch. So excuse me if I don't kiss his arse but I'm going through a hard time as a bloody supporter and all after yesterday's humiliation.
-
Look down your nose at me much more and you'll get dewdrops mate. You ever watch Serie A over a sustained period of time? You'd have got a flavour of Ancelotti if you had because he'd never managed outside of Italy before he came to us - and it wasn't exactly breath-taking stuff. So did I want a manager with a preference for over 30s coming in and settling with the ageing squad he has? You bet your arse I didn't. And whilst Hiddink did an unbelievable job during his short spell in charge, at his age, we wouldn't exactly be looking at a long-term manager would we? If we're ever going to get the sort of stability at the club to have any sustained success, we need younger personnel both in terms of players and the manager. That enlightened you sufficiently?
-
Obviously Hiddink isn't coming back - not for at least 2 years anyway. I'm not even suggesting we get rid of Ancelotti because we're always too quick to sack managers and it hasn't ever done us any good. I do agree with all your other points though JBD, Ancelotti's style of management never impressed me when he was at AC and it doesn't particularly impress me now. The fact that he says he isn't bothered about our players' private lives when some of them clearly have a job keeping them 'private' is just another concern to add to the others really.
-
No evidence of a lack of team spirit? Hmmm, so you don't think there was a clear lack of communication on the pitch then no? Our passing was misplaced because our players are just useless then, as opposed to failing to communicate? Maybe I was watching a different game then because what I saw was a disjointed and frustrated performance from a side that didn't exactly epitomise the word 'team'. Do I think United are stronger? lol, are you serious? Have you seen their backline for most of the season? The fact that they're just one point away from us given the trouble they've had getting a defender on the pitch just shows the points we've thrown away. We should have put the points away when we did have the chance because now its us in the position where injuries are taking their toll, they'll be strolling past us as usual. As for JT, I wouldn't want to hear some long, droning, insincere rant but how is fucking off on holiday (missing a game) and being seen on every back page, laughing and making out with his mug of a wife giving out the message he even gives a shit? Why should he be sorry about his personal life? Because it isn't just about him. His performances have been shit, the teams performances aren't a lot better right now and we were humiliated in the worst possible way yesterday. Not just him - US as supporters. So bloody right he should apologise. Terry and Cole might well be two bloody good defenders but theyre showing themselves up to be pretty poor excuses for men lately and Chelsea just don't need the sort of constant bullshit that surrounds them just because they can't keep control of their dicks.
-
Didn't want Ancelotti at Chelsea to start with and still don't. He might have put stood in the same room when the players' were given a dressing down about the effect their behaviour was having on the club but clearly, he isn't all that bothered. That's enough to tell me he isn't the sort of manager I want leading Chelsea.

Badboy seriously, are clown icons the best answer you have in response? How do you expect anyone to take you seriously if that's the best you can come up with. If you disagree, why not say so and give a grown up rationale? Forums are for debate after all. As for the original post, I completely agree. There seems to be a point every season where we self-destruct and hand the title over to United. We had a serious chance to win it this season because United have suffered defensively. Yesterday was yet another opportunity against an average side to put distance between us and United again, and we blew it big-style. Fair enough, Hilario had a nightmare but as I've already said our players know he's vulnerable and should have raised their own games - they didn't. Yet again our captain - the captain who has put the club under intense speculation, had a howler. More than any player at the club, its JT who should be playing out of his skin right now to repay the unbelievable loyalty shown to him irrespective of how he behaves - but he isn't. And instead of pulling him up for failing to earn his inflated wages, Ancelotti does what the vast majority of Chelsea do - and defends his every mistake. And like CM, I'm bloody sick of it. Now, I can't stand Piers Morgan but he wrote a piece about JT that didn't make very nice reading but couldn't be argued with. You see, what JT did WAS wholly unforgiveable but maybe it would have been forgotten sooner if he'd apologised just once. But he didn't, he simply swanned off on holiday, giving the impression that as ever JT cares about JT. Even the interview he gave about his desire to win the Champions League was written in the third person. Again, it was all about JT. So what happened to the famous Mr Chelsea and when did it stop being about the club? Between Ashley Cole and JT right now, we've become a bit of a joke and that's being reflected on the pitch. Our players are distracted and the team spirit that was clearly evident earlier in the season is just as blatant in its absence now. So for those of you who want to take the piss or have a laugh at the expense of supporters who've genuinely given a shit about this club for longer than the last couple of decades, go for it, because whether you realise it or not, the captain you can see no wrong in just isn't the captain he once was.
-
It was worth a red just to see that Argie twat on his arse.
-
Er hellooooo, you pick out Mikel and Hilario for it all going wrong in the first place.....what about Carvalho and JT? Because Tevez made mugs out of them as well. Hilario was shit yes, but our defenders know he's no Petr Cech so shouldn't they be stepping up their game? Let's be honest, Carvalho couldnt give a toss this season and JT has been shocking in his last few games and as ever he's blindly supported like some fucking hero. I don't dispute the contribution he's made to us over the years but this season he's brought shame on himself (and the club by association) and to hear supporters booing a former player because JT had fucked the mother of his child, was pretty sickening. If that's their idea of 'supporting' their captain then they seriously need to take a look at themselves. Fucking embarrassing. Oh and as for congratulating Citeh, fuck 'em. They don't deserve shit.
-
She gives him permission to make mistakes by taking him back when he does it, because we know its not the first time. I still think he's a complete cock for doing it but to an extent its hardly surprising when he knows she gets over it so quickly.

What a mug that woman is. Self respect > Money
-
I totally love Joe Cole but he was so poor yesterday, it's a worry now.
-
R.I.P Petar.
-
Very capable performance today. Definitely weren't at our best but still a very professional performance. They could have had possession until tomorrow and I doubt they'd have got past our defence who were nothing short of immense today - stands to reason Cech would look much more confident with the sort of solid, assured defending he had in front of him.
-
I have a lot of respect for Le Saux's opinion - he's one of few from the football world who talks sense. I always liked him as a Chelsea player and remember reading his autobiography and thinking what nasty bastards some people were towards him. He never did anything wrong and took so much abuse. John Terry really would do well to listen to people like Le Saux instead of the tossers advising him lately.
-
Lol, harsh but this is just as funny: Hull chant at Wayne Bridge this afternoon (to the tune of One Man Went To Mow): "Terry went to bed, went to bed with your bird. John Terry, and his dog, went to bed with your bird. Mutu went to bed, went to bed with your bird Mutu, Terry and his dog, went to bed with your bird. Eidhur went to bed, went to bed with you bird,... Eidhur, Mutu, Terry and his dog, went to bed with your bird" etc etc
-
The Daily Mail really have it in for Terry, he's in for a rough ride until they get bored. Used some of your quotes in a post today, hope that's ok with you all - bit late now, lol. Sky News linked to it, so you'll thank me when you're famous Click
-
Really good to be vindicated over this - makes sense now why the club weren't panicking as much as the rest of us over our lack of transfer activity, lol.
-
It all came to nothing, the woman wanted me to do give an opinion for some live show that was going out - there's no way I'd do that anyway.
-
Not sure whether we were arrogant or just bottled it. Either way, that wasn't anywhere good enough. We could've put daylight between us and United tonight, it was Hull ffs - albeit their best performance of the season but if we can't get 3 points off them wtf do we think we'll do against Arsenal? Because they wont lay down and die like they did against United.
-
Actually you're wrong, I'm a lot more careful with my opinion when Im speaking to non-Chelsea. I might think JT's been a complete twat but that doesn't mean I'm prepared to admit it (or lose an argument) with the opposition.
-
Doesnt it stop being private and start having something to do with the England job when it involves a team-mate? Just a thought. Oh and as disgusting as that was with Rooney, he wasn't sharing a dressing room with their ex's and he wasn't a married man.
-
Depends how good Capello is at soaking up all the pressure?
-
I swear I'm going to wet myself. Sky Sports emailed today asking me to ring them to talk about the whole JT thing. They're ringing me tonight.
